Yes thanks Marianne.
My local book fair was two weeks ago but I didn't go because I knew I would bring home too many books.
Marianne wrote: "Excellent. Still No 4 to go?"Yes that's right. You are better at keeping track of my books than I am 😀

Are you in ACT, Marianne? My parents are always raving about the Lifeline Book Fair! They always go towards the end of the last day because they get to fill a bag with books and it's dirt cheap. I'm a bit jealous!
Yes, I am Krystal. it's first in a series I want to read and hard to grind so Marianne said she'd keep a lookout. She's great at finding books people are after :)

After having books piled up on the floor for ages I bought two large second hand bookshelves last week. One really lovely wooden one for $60 and another one in black for $40. Filled up the four of the five shelves of the wooden one with existing books . The black bookshelf is completely empty so now I have plenty of room for new books. Anyone in Melbourne who needs new bookshelves I can highly recommend the Sacred Heart Op Shop 86-88 Chapel St, Windsor VIC 3181. They have heaps of bookshelves and charge $50 for delivery, $30 if you have a health care card.
I’ve just ordered a few books:
Little Secrets by Aussie author Anna Snoekstra
The World's Strongest Librarian: A Memoir of Tourette's, Faith, Strength, and the Power of Family by Josh Hanagarne - non-fiction (have heard great reviews about this one)
The Question of the Missing Head by E.J. Copperman - Mystery - the MC has Aspergers

Some great books there Margot. The Booktopia sale is great. I also had a few books picked out then told myself no. But the sales isn't over yet! 😉The only thing more exciting than a new bookcase is two.

I can't wait to read Little Secrets but I have others that need to be read first. 😩
I'm looking for Decked by Carol Higgins Clark Krystal. It's the first in a series and the only one not on Amazon or Book Depository. I'm pretty sure AbeBooks will have a used copy but I'm not in a rush to start a new series so thought I'd ask Marianne, the Book Whisperer to keep a look out in the many second hand shops she visits. If anyone can find it, she can!

I'm going out of my way to avoid Booktopia this sale season lol, I always end up buying a stack that hang out on my shelves forever!Sounds like an interesting book, Carolyn! I'll keep my eyes peeled for it but looks like Brenda may have already found it for you?!
Krystal, Carolyn's not in a hurry so I'll see if I come across it cheaper in my charity shop trawls first.

I left about 6 books at the little free library in my suburb yesterday so don't feel so bad about more op shop purchases this weekend. Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story by Christopher Moore $3.25 I love this author!
The Sparrows of Edward Street by Elizabeth Stead $3.20
Nothing for you today at the Lifeline Book Fair, Carolyn, but for me I got Dissonance$4 and The Lake Frome Monster: An Inspector Bonaparte Mystery #29 featuring Bony, the first Aboriginal detective $2, but everything was half price, so $3 the lot.
Geez! I can't even go buy groceries without coming home with a new book! Normally I don't go near them when I shop but I had to stand in line at the bank which was right next to the books! Came home with one that was on sale! Odd Child Out by Gilly Macmillan
Just got back from a lunch time trip to the library with these in my hot little hands:
A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena - suspense
The Choke by Sofie Laguna - have high hopes for this one, have loved her other books
Two Steps Forward by Graeme Simsion - which I have already started!!!
the book whisperer couldn't resist These Are the Names for $2.50 at Vinnies, and was very pleased with scoring my missing Freida Klein novel Saturday Requiem from Salvos for $3

Brenda wrote: "I'm pretty excited to be Auto approved on NetGalley by Bookouture overnight!"Congratulations!
I picked up this freebie today
Dewitched: The Untold Story of the Evil Queen by E.L. Sarnoff - basically the blurb is after her attempted murder of Snow white the Evil Queen is sent to rehab for those addicted to evil. The She is given a job on probation to work for a demanding princess. It just appealed to me - and cost nothing.
Brenda wrote: "I'm pretty excited to be Auto approved on NetGalley by Bookouture overnight!"Congrats Brenda, you are a hardworking reviewer. Well done!
Just back from the library with shiny new copies of The Essex Serpent

Our Casuarina branch is always open for a few hours on Sunday afternoons - for as as long as I can remember. I’m more of a lunchtime visitor myself - but understand it gets very busy there. Especially with tourists who look for free internet access to check their emails :)
I don't know of any branches in Newcastle that are open on a Sunday... I might be wrong though :)
