It looks good doesn't it?

Outback Sisters by Rachael Johns I've read the ebook but nice to have a real copy to join my other.
Secrets of Eden by Chris Bohjalian
I've heard a lot about this author lately so thought I'd give him a try.

I also got given a copy of

Snap! Both of my purchases were from my TBR and I put the rest back on the shelf. So now I have Rush Oh! and An Isolated Incident to look forward to.

After I bought my books Andrea, the lovely lady told me they were having a sale the next day and all books were half price. Lol they were still cheap though.

Congrats on that one Brenda. I'm staying away from Netgalley. I have too many unread and need to catch up.

Haha. Only stronger because it gives me anxiety when I have too many waiting and I dont need any more of that.

I use the word "overwhelmed"! And that certainly happens!

I'm reading this one now, very much enjoying it, but I will warn you there are spoilers for the first book Hester and Harriet if you've not read that one and plan to.....

Glad you got it Brenda. I'm terrible as I look at it every day but I seem to be quite contained. I try to limit myself to the Aussie books/authors now, or my favourite authors at least but every now and again I go off track!

I'm so excited! I received (via my parcel postie)
The Golden Child by Wendy James today! Can't wait to read it :)

The Comfort of Strangers
and The Perfect Holiday
and, for the get together, if anyone wants it, The Lake House
then collected 2 reserves from the library:
And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer
and the DVD of Temple Grandin starring Claire Danes

Congratulations Jools!!! Awesome :) Are they on here? If you can give me a couple of links I'll add them for you :)

I don't know Brenda, they just gave me those two titles: You are a winner of COOK'S MANUAL and PATISSERIE! so I guess I will have to wait until they arrive. They will post them :)

Will post when I get them :)

I've heard this is very good on audio Leonie.

Oh Marianne, would love The Lake House. Have I got any for you this time around? :(
Glad to see you're using your reserve system, Marianne!

Yes, I think it was Phrynne who said it was amazing.

I keep adding things to my list so I will remind people closer to the day to check it out....

I'm really looking forward to it!

Well blow me down! After my surprise approval from St Martin's, I've also just had my first book approved by Hachette on NetGalley after many refusals (on the grounds that I don't have a blog). Ragdoll by Daniel Cole. It was an accidental request too - the books was advertised in an email from Netgalley and I clicked the request button before realising who the publisher was.

So a heads up to Netgalley users that it's there (via Random House UK, not Aust!)"
Thanks Marlin, I've already pre-ordered it. Which is probably good as I'm trying to limit how many NG books I request so I don't feel under pressure to review too many at once before publication.

I saw that Brenda really liked it so it must be good!

Kindle (US) $1.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0073I...
Kindle (AU) $5.39
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/s/ref...

Haha well done you! Maybe new doors opening for you? ;)

I was just rejected for Ragdoll and I've reviewed for them before. Go figure.

Maybe! Or maybe they just have new approvers!

Sorry to hear that Veronica. I think there is a certain degree of randomness involved - definitely not worth trying to analyse how they make those decisions.

I also received Ragdoll by Daniel Cole from NetGalley but I don't recall requesting it! LOL I probably did (I must have!)

That's odd Veronica! And bad luck too :( It's on as a Giveaway threw GR though, so you might have luck there :)

Lucky girl!

Ragdoll by Daniel Cole
And

The Golden Child by Wendy James
Both look like excellent books!
Good choices Owl! Have you read any Wendy James yet? She lives in my town and I meet up with her often :) She's a lovely person!

Saw that these were pretty popular in our group of friends, so I Just added them, too!
Just added to my library of to-read books:
Leighann Dobbs

Wendy James

That must be a real treat, Brenda! I hadn't heard of her before, until you posted them. Being an Aussie author, I have to watch what my Aussie friends are reading! It can be a real trick to get Aussie authors in the States sometimes. The two books, Ragdoll, and The Golden Child were not easy to find. I don't give up easily! I was able to get the others without trouble on Kindle. I don't understand why some books by same author are not sold in the US?? But, find them, I did! Looking forward to reading them! =o) Hugs xx
