With thanks to Veronica for my copy of Jilted, which I was able to get signed. Rachael seems like a very down to earth gal. Might have found my next book to read!

oops, I just accidentally bought 4 books from brotherhood books, LOL!! will list when they arrive......
You know how it happens: I was just sitting here minding my own business (= looking to see if they had any by this author, or this one, or this one, and they did!) and then just a click here and there and a casual (or perhaps somewhat rushed) stroll upstairs to get the plastic, and next thing? Order placed!

Thank you to Suzanne for my books today.Missing You by Harlan Coben
Odd One Out by Monica McInerney
The Survivors Club by Lisa Gardner
Look like three really great reads.

Nothing is more important than an unread library.'
Posted on a Facebook page I like that's about books and book lovers.
This morning, from my Book Bub email, I downloaded:Shattered Dreams, Rest For The Wicked, The Sweet Spot & The Last Orphans.
Had a family picnic day yesterday and caught up with my eldest sister who is just back from eight weeks in the UK. She bought me the new book The Silent Inheritance by Joy Dettman who is probably my favourite AU female author.
Latest downloads:Rising Heat, Pack Wars: Claimed by the Pack - Part Four, Batter Up, Moon Bayou, Spark, The Dark Realm, The First Adventure & Getting Out of Hand.
Not the usual day for the charity shop crawl, but a social engagement tomorrow will take me further south (fresh op shops??) so today the book whisperer got this one for $1 at Uniting Church:Dead Run
I downloaded Sweet Magik by Penny Watson a sweet romance about how Santa's youngest son found the love of his life - well he hasn't found it yet - but he's working on it!!! I enjoyed the first book in the series (Santa has 4 sons) and I needed to read a book where the Main male character has a beard - and Oskar has one - and it's green!!!
a
BIG
book day for the book whisperer, although a certain J.D. Robb fan will benefit too...firstly, the Brotherhood Books order was delivered by the courier:
Railsea $7
Embassytown $7.50
The Ask and the Answer $7.50 and
Monsters of Men $7.50
then Salvos, where I got enough books to fill a bag, meaning my $25 worth cost me only $15
For Veronica:
Chaos in Death / Possession in Death $1.80
Haunted in Death / Eternity in Death $1.80
Portrait in Death $1.80
Celebrity in Death $2.40
Thankless in Death $2.40 and
Calculated in Death $2.40
for the book whisperer herself in the same haul
Darkest Place $2.40
From Vinnies for a certain moderator
Black Diamonds $2
and for the book whisperer
After the Darkness $2 (wishlist)
A Perfectly Good Man $2 (wishlist) and
Man Of Two Tribes $2
No, I did not attempt to sneak these in, just boldly walked in with the bag
Brenda wrote: "OMG!!! Seriously Marianne!!! How do you DO that??? Thanks so much :)"Why do you think Dale gave me that title???
Wow Marianne what a great haul! Aaaaaand you got a perfectly good man thrown in as well....even though you already have one! ;))There's just no telling what you can bring home from a second hand shop eh? Hope he's in good condition ;)
LOL Jools, he's in VERY GOOD CONDITION, although he does have remainder marks top & bottom (the one I got today, that is), but pages nice and tight. Very pleased with any Patrick Gale book I happen upon after A Place Called Winter
