Thanks very much Kim - looking forward to getting stuck into them!
Hope you received lots of great reading too?
I was lucky to receive some great books as Christmas presents:A Year At The Circus: Inside Trump's White House by Jon Sopel
Towards the End of the Morning by Michael Frayn
The Slaves of Solitude by Patrick Hamilton
Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane
This book from my darling husband A Year of Extraordinary Moments by Bette Lee Crosby
I am looking forward to getting into it.
Well done everyone!! Some excellent books there and oh Phrynne, what fun you'll have with that!!
Enjoy book shopping Phrynne! I received two books for Christmas She's Out
from my husband and Feeding the Birds at Your Table: A guide for australians
from my sister.
Yesterday my brother and I went to a Balinese bookshop. My brother bought an Indonesian cookbook for friends and I bought a kids travel guide to Bali for my great nieces and great nephew who are travelling here in 2020. I also bought a copy of Where the Crawdads Sing as my online book club is reading it next and the number of reserves at the library are crazy.
I was given an inscribed copy of Customer Service Wolf : comics from the retail wilderness by Anne Barnetson (a local author for me - she works at my local indie bookshop, hence the inscribed copy) as a Christmas present. Very relatable for anyone who has ever worked in customer service of any form, but mainly retail. A quick read when you have a spare hour. Also received a couple gift vouchers for Dymocks, totalling $120. Same as Gloria, what to spend it on?!
I received an email from Dymock's about my birthday credit. When I logged onto their site I had just over $17 there. Went in today and picked up Daisy Jones & The Six with the credit.
Also picked up at an op shop
