There is nothing after page 152 except a blank page.
Amazon does list it as 152 pages and I have the book in hand.

I think they want you to fix the page count.
If you click on the 2 links provided then you will see 2 different page counts.

#388 Michele, sorry but that ASIN is for the hardcover which is obviously wrong. Amazon doesn't have a kindle edition listed.I'm thinking that Overdrive might use ebooks instead of kindle and therefore Amazon won't have it listed.
The publisher is saying 336 pg for the ebook.

The Kindle edition has roughly the same page numbering as the paperback editions from the same publisher with 626 pages (these are correctly shown). Not 496 pages. I note the Goodreads listings are similar but not the same as Amazon (496 and 640) but I'm not sure why the Amazon listing is so wrong (perhaps a hardback page number).
Not sure Luci, but for kindle editions we use the Amazon page numbers and it does state 498 for the 2010 edition. It states for me "This title is not currently available for purchase".

I have an ARC for a forthcoming hardback edition
392: I am reading the UK Kindle edition (are you in another country?) and it has 627 pages. I realise what the Amazon listing says but it's well over a hundred pages less than my book in hand. Also, in this case the numbering matches that of the paperback edition, not the hardback (which would have been published some years before ebooks).
Msg 390 - SandraI am reading the ebook, and not the kindle edition. I am just reading it "in browser" and its 492 pages. I think it could be an EPUB format. I could do a screen capture to prove it... but its frustrating as I have to stop at 328 pages on my updates and that doesn't really reflect what I am reading. Do we need to add another addition? I'm curious as I don't think I am the first person with this problem.
Michele and Sandra, just answered thinking you were somehow responding to me, but clearly you have a similar problem with a totally different book.Overdrive ebook editions should be listed as ebook editions and have an ISBN not an ASIN. If there isn't one listed it should be added separately, it's not the Kindle book.
Does Worldcat have a listing for the ebook, as that should be for the Overdrive books not Kindle editions.
There is an ebook edition listed of Ghostland with an ISBN 1101980214 - but it's only listed as having 336 pages. Is there an ISBN number somewhere between the cover and the start of your book? I think print and kindle books normally have it after the title page, with publication and copyright details etc.

Yes, that's the same one as is listed in brackets on the one I just posted. It won't be on Amazon, I don't think, as it's not in their format (Kindle). So that's the one a librarian needs to change.

The publisher lists ISBN 9781101980217 as 336 pages and so it will not be changed as we use the publisher as the source for ebook page counts. Page counts for ebooks can vary from device to device, which is why the publisher page count is used.
Re: msg. 400Ok, I can understand a few pages difference but over 100 pages different seems to be way to extreme for being a device to device difference. I've read ebooks before and never have run in that kind of difference in page count.

If it is epub format we can't use the page numbers. Because epub is not a stable format. The page numbers change depending on which ereader you use or indeed what size font you are using. Only PDF formats are acceptable from actual ebooks, or of course the publisher numbers.
