@Diane, I felt the same way! Bring on book two NOW!

The only connection in characters between the series that I noticed was Zoya. She is a minor character in the Shadow and Bone series and Nina mentions her once or twice as the leader of the Second Army (which I don't think is a position she has when the Shadow and Bone series ends).

Fascinating but I don't think those early waffles were anything to get excited about.
I just never realized how much I associated fantasy with medieval times until something totaly didn't jive with it in my mind.
Yes they had guns and tanks but there is a comment about how it was moving without a horse, so motors were a new thing. And there was also a comment about candles and gas lamps.

Yeah, but is t that a great feeling in a way. I stayed up until the early AM to finish the book because it was hard to put down. Work the next day was interesting, but worth it.

I was the exact opposite. I started reading it and couldn't get into it but then the audible daily deal happened so I got it and it was smooth sailing from there (for me, not so much the crew).

I was going to start reading it when that deal happened. For the most part I am with you on the audio. The first chapter or so took a little bit for me but after that? One of my favorite audios.
I liked having a different voice for each perspective and their versions of everyone's voices. I just hope they stick with it for the next book. I don't want it to change!
