I just saw the news on this one. Holy cow, that's a lot of casualties.
At least they caught the guy quickly.

A lot of candlelight vigils planned in my neck of the woods (eastern Canada) to honor those killed in Orlando. Even the RCMP buildings are flying the LGBT pride flag. Lots of people affected by this.
Even in my ultra, ultraconservative county, a local funeral home has a notice up on their marquee that on their website they are doing a tribute to the Orlando victims.

Dang, that's some rage! I just have to sit here and stamp my good foot, since it's in the mid-90s and I can't run anyway (unless I'm being chased by a swarm of hornets).

How come Pistorius gets to serve the remaining five years of his sentence out of prison under house arrest at his uncle's luxury home??
I guess the take-home message is, if you ever go on trial for a screamingly obvious premeditated murder, you need to cry and puke a lot in order to get off easily.

That was from the first conviction. Which was appealed by the prosecution. So now he gets 6 years. I wonder if Thokozile Masipa is related to Aaron Persky.

Does this guy really not grasp that every other black person in the country is seen differently, and NOT in a better way, after he pulls something like this? Does he think this is justice for Castile and Sterling? Is he taking stupid pills or what?And before I forsake the subjects of Sterling and Castile, well, I saw the video of what those guys did to Sterling. Let me just thank the officers involved in the Minnesota and Louisiana shootings for devastating 2 more families and terrifying 2 more cities without a reason, AND setting off a new wave of race riots -- good job, guys! -- AND encouraging a sniper to go after brother officers who had absolutely nothing to do with the epic bad judgement you exercised.

The surprising thing about the article is one poor dog walker found one of the dead victims in Aug then found another one less than a month later. I think I would change my dog walking route if I was him!!
