I finished my second book, The Masked Truth, last night. It ended up being really good. I wasn't so sure at the beginning of the book, but it picked up as it went along.

How do you make those stars?
I finished both of my March picks this week and I thought both were very good! Similar in a few ways, but very different in others.
The Handmaid's Tale|Margaret Atwood 3-18-2016 | 4*
Big Girl Panties|Stephanie Evanovich 3-19-2016 | 3*Thanks again, Trea, for the great picks!

You're welcome, but I didn't pick these for you, Donna did!
I finished both my picks for this month.
A bit long and drawn out. Good premise, but way too wordy and slow going. Could have told the story with half as much filler and would have been a better story. 3.5 stars.
This was comical and a bit way out there, but at least it was better than the other selection for this month, but not by much. 4 stars.

I think there was a bit of a mishap this month and you had to pick for me instead of my partner. Either way, it worked out well. ;-)

Ah, yes! I remember now! Well, I am glad they worked out for you!
Finished
~ a bit long and slow, but interesting too, but my main problem with this series is I don't like the characters. The magicians are pompous and political, the rebels are basically terrorists, and the djinni is basically an unwilling slave, so not loyal, noble or sometimes not even helpful. Thanks Karina for the pick!
I completed my first one
. It was a fun retelling of Helen of Troy. I liked the way it took its time over Helen's initial decision - this often seems silly it some portrayals of this story. It also played down the mythical aspect, treating the gods as being religious elements that may or may not be real. The book was primarily a romance but it also had one or two interesting historical details - like the fact that it highlighted that Greece was not a major power at the historical time of the Trojan war.
I finished my second pick for March
. Really entertaining science fiction. A generation ship returns from the stars to find Earth encrusted in a thick layer of crystal with a decaying remnant of humanity living on and under it. I enjoyed this book a lot. Such a good read!
Finished both my books this month. :-)
by Marjorie M. Liu 3/21/16It was kinda hard to get into. I loved "the boys." They were playful but scary at the same time. I didn't get the zombies. They were really people who are possessed by demons and Maxine is a hunter who can kill (exorcise) them.
Maxine is from a line of woman who are all hunters. Seems though that when the daughter is old enough and strong enough, the boys pass off from mother to child, which then leaves the mother unprotected...you see where this is going. I'm really not sure if I want to continue the series. Maybe the 2nd book will suck me in better.
by Bailey Cates 3/28/16I really enjoyed this book. Katie Lightfoot moved to Georgia to help her Aunt and Uncle open their new bakery. Before they even have the grand opening, a customer is murdered right outside the back door. Poor Uncle Ben becomes the prime suspect so Katie decides to help clear his name.
In the middle of all this, Aunt Lucy tells Katie that her book club is actually all witches, and Katie's on too! She is reluctant to believe at first but then takes to it pretty quick. I loved the little stray dog that comes to live with her, Mungo the Magnificent. He is her familiar and has a little mind of his own!
Hi Dani! I only managed one of my two, but I loved it! There's an outside chance I'll be able to squeak Frenched in, but I'm leaving for a business trip tomorrow, so it is a loooooooong shot! Thanks for the push!
Coming Undone, Lauren Dane – 3/7/16 – ✮✮✮✮✮
Hey, Alex! I finished my first book yesterday and started the second. Dark Road Home was a very dull read for me, but since I've had the book since last summer, I really needed the push to read it! Hopefully, Princess will be better!
Just finished my second pick for the month,
. I really loved it, but for some reason that didn't 100% make sense to me, there were times when it felt really heavy, mentally, reading it. Still can't figure out why. I think it's the weight of this whole family that nestles on top of you and doesn't go away until you close the book. Would definitely consider this a "drama". But, like I said, I still loved it. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for the picks, Debbie Doc. It was a double five star month, and obviously those are the best. ^_^

I choose for _____:
_____ chooses for me:
Trea,
Thanks for picking these books for me. As you know, I don't know if I will read any more in the series for Something in the Heir since I have many series I would rather read first. As for Introductions, I have no idea what draws me to this book. Normally, I don't like weak heroines but this one is different somehow. Something about this book has drawn me in so I will definitely be adding this to my list of series to continue.

I finished my first picked book for March, Hidden Bodies
(finished 03/26/16)
.I really liked it. Not as much as the one before it, You, but I still enjoyed being in Joe's world.
Caroline Kepnes is amazing. (view spoiler) I just hope we have not seen the last of Joe and Love.
I'm reading
right now, but I don't think I'll finish it before the end of the month. :( At least I finished one of my two picks.

I don't think I'll continue with Something in the Heir's series either, but I am glad you liked Introductions!
Alex, I finished Princess Ever After and I really enjoyed it! It definitely had a Anastasia vibe to it, but it was a great read! Thanks for picking it for me!
Thanks, Debbie G. for the picks. I finished both
and
. Now, I don't have to feel like the only person in the world who hasn't read them! They were both achingly romantic and painfully bittersweet, and I highly recommend them, for those few souls, like me, who have not read them yet. Oh, the pain of being a teenager in love...

On Dublin Street 3/5 ★★★★ This was such a weird book for me. I liked it even though my rational mind can't figure out why. The editing and dialogue needed some work! I also thought the heroine was a bit over the top in her "not get close to anyone". But despite all that I couldn't put this book down. I enjoyed the story and I liked the romance. I gave it 4 stars and yet I feel no desire to read another book in this series.
Fire Touched 3/14 ★★★★★ I really love this series and I loved this book. There was a lot happening and a lot of Fae politics in this book. It also had some really great and funny moments between Adam and Mercy that I loved reading. When I finished it I was sad because I wasn't ready to be done reading it.
