Tears of the Moon (Gallaghers of Ardmore / Irish Trilogy, #2) by Nora Roberts and The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler

Hope you get to some of your library books!"

Oh, good. I was hoping Tears of the Moon would get picked, because I really want to continue the series, but other books kept getting in the way (I'm sure a lot of us know how that goes). As for The Imposter Bride, I grabbed it off the shelf awhile back because it looked interesting (and because I have a bunch of spell out challenges that desperately need Is), and again, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thank you for the choices. Hopefully next month, I'll be able to stop reading so many of my own books and start making it through my library stash. ^_^

Dami, your sign up is coming too late to be able to participate this month. The deadline for signups was at 10:30 am CST on February 23, and your sign up came in a little over 9 hours past that deadline. Since pairs have already been posted, you will not be able to be paired with anyone for March and will have to try again in April. The sign ups should come anytime between the 15th and the 20th of March, and I do hope you'll try to join us for April! Thank you for your interest in the challenge!

So sorry, Michelle & Trea. I have an emergency situation going on and meant to pick sooner. Unfortunately, it started last week and the craziness is not over yet. I promise I am not flighty, signing up for stuff and not following thru. Just can't keep my head on straight when I am scared for my family. Michelle, i hope you enjoy the books Trea chose for you.

Donna, you let me know in a PM what happened and in that situation, it's ok to step back or forget about things like picks for this challenge. Maybe in future you could PM Ezi or I sooner and let us know the situation and what would be best for you, be it leaving the challenge for the month or asking that one of us pick for your partner, though I hope the situation you described to me doesn't become a regular occurrence!

Alex Shelby (jynxmecrazie) | 103 comments Just finished my first pick The Girl from the Well! It was a nice, fast read that still managed to be creepy and interesting. A lot of information on Japanese folklore and legends.

Kathy D choose: The Stolen Mackenzie Bride (MacKenzies & McBrides, #8) by Jennifer Ashley (4.5stars 3/10) & Darkest Before Dawn (KGI, #10) by Maya Banks (3stars 3/11)

message 145: by VampAmber (new)

VampAmber | 622 comments Finally got around to finishing the first of my picks, Tears of the Moon (Gallaghers of Ardmore, #2) by Nora Roberts . Loved it, of course. Pretty much figured I would, though. I've been obsessively reading Nora Roberts' trilogies lately, and adoring every freaking page. ^_^ Can't wait to read the third one, but that'll hafta wait a bit. I still have a ton of library books already checked out.

message 146: by Erin L (new)

Erin L (wellreadmoose) | 272 comments Finished my first one Dark Horse (Elena Estes, #1) by Tami Hoag today. It wasn't too bad, but not as good as I'd hoped. 3-stars. Thanks for pushing me to finally get around to it.

I read both picks.

KAGE Mar 12 ★★★ I think "new adult" is a good descriptor for this book, and I don't like new adult. I can't pinpoint anything wrong with the book, just not what I like. It won a member's choice award in the MM group. I'm trying to read all of the winners which is why this ended up on my TBR despite my misgivings about it.

Crazy Kinky Dirty Pirates Mar 2 ★★★ This is an outrageous dirty, dirty series. A fast and fun read.

Thanks for these picks!

message 149: by Denise (last edited Mar 14, 2016 06:00PM) (new)

Denise | 796 comments Finished the two picks from Chelle for me.

The Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley - this is a book published in 1919, a sequel to the wonderful Parnasus On Wheels. A book about books, with a bit of a mystery and a lot to say about the recent world war I quite enjoyed it! 5 stars

Be My Knife by David Grossman - An Israeli novel about a neurotic (very!) male rare book dealer who writes a letter to a women he sees across a room - she answers his letter - the correspond for many months - he becomes obsessively manipulative so I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. 3 stars
