March 2016 Dusty Bookshelf Challenge
Chelle, I choose for you:
&
One of my sister's favorite authors is Stephen King. And I can practically see you jumping up and down for Hidden Bodies. :-)
Enjoy!

Ooh, Erin.... Taliesin is good stuff. I love that series quite a bit.

Oh, good. I was hoping Tears of the Moon would get picked, because I really want to continue the series, but other books kept getting in the way (I'm sure a lot of us know how that goes). As for The Imposter Bride, I grabbed it off the shelf awhile back because it looked interesting (and because I have a bunch of spell out challenges that desperately need Is), and again, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thank you for the choices. Hopefully next month, I'll be able to stop reading so many of my own books and start making it through my library stash. ^_^

"Dami, your sign up is coming too late to be able to participate this month. The deadline for signups was at 10:30 am CST on February 23, and your sign up came in a little over 9 hours past that deadline. Since pairs have already been posted, you will not be able to be paired with anyone for March and will have to try again in April. The sign ups should come anytime between the 15th and the 20th of March, and I do hope you'll try to join us for April! Thank you for your interest in the challenge!

So sorry, Michelle & Trea. I have an emergency situation going on and meant to pick sooner. Unfortunately, it started last week and the craziness is not over yet. I promise I am not flighty, signing up for stuff and not following thru. Just can't keep my head on straight when I am scared for my family. Michelle, i hope you enjoy the books Trea chose for you.

Donna, you let me know in a PM what happened and in that situation, it's ok to step back or forget about things like picks for this challenge. Maybe in future you could PM Ezi or I sooner and let us know the situation and what would be best for you, be it leaving the challenge for the month or asking that one of us pick for your partner, though I hope the situation you described to me doesn't become a regular occurrence!
So for my fist book from the 2 that Sunshine picked for me I picked to read first
Deadly Descent by Audrey Braun, even though I just started it, its already creepy, come to think of it ,it might not have been the best idea to.start it now because its 11:47 pm at night, oh well its the perfect time to read something that is in the horror gene.
It wasn't picked for me this month, buy I just finished
The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly on 03/03/16. It was wonderful, beautiful, and sad. I cannot recommend it enough. Now on to the two that WERE picked for me.
3/3/2016 :: I finished the first book that was selected for me, My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry. I LOVED IT. Ten million stars.

And it's unavailable at my two local libraries so I get to wait. Have you read his Robin Hood series? I loved that one so much.
I started with Dark Horse though and I'm enjoying it a lot.
Sunshine just wanted to say thinks for picking
Deadly Descent by R.G. Porter just finished it today and OMG I loved it. thinks for the great pick five out of five.
Dan wrote: "I finished my first book The First Confessor, but must put this challenge aside for a week. A book I've been waiting to read for over a year is now in my hands. James RollinsI recently finished The Bone Labyrinth. I'm curious to see what you thought of it.
Just finished my first pick The Girl from the Well! It was a nice, fast read that still managed to be creepy and interesting. A lot of information on Japanese folklore and legends.
Finally got around to finishing the first of my picks,
. Loved it, of course. Pretty much figured I would, though. I've been obsessively reading Nora Roberts' trilogies lately, and adoring every freaking page. ^_^ Can't wait to read the third one, but that'll hafta wait a bit. I still have a ton of library books already checked out.
Finished my first one
today. It wasn't too bad, but not as good as I'd hoped. 3-stars. Thanks for pushing me to finally get around to it.
Finished my first pick today.
. This was a good 4☆ read, and it made a refreshing change to read a romance from the male perspeftive.
JoyceI read both picks.
KAGE Mar 12 ★★★ I think "new adult" is a good descriptor for this book, and I don't like new adult. I can't pinpoint anything wrong with the book, just not what I like. It won a member's choice award in the MM group. I'm trying to read all of the winners which is why this ended up on my TBR despite my misgivings about it.
Crazy Kinky Dirty Pirates Mar 2 ★★★ This is an outrageous dirty, dirty series. A fast and fun read.
Thanks for these picks!
Finished the two picks from Chelle for me.The Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley - this is a book published in 1919, a sequel to the wonderful Parnasus On Wheels. A book about books, with a bit of a mystery and a lot to say about the recent world war I quite enjoyed it! 5 stars
Be My Knife by David Grossman - An Israeli novel about a neurotic (very!) male rare book dealer who writes a letter to a women he sees across a room - she answers his letter - the correspond for many months - he becomes obsessively manipulative so I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. 3 stars
