As we address here both biz and writing, writing as biz and other variations, I hope you'll feel right at home, enjoy and contribute (not necessarily in monetary form) -:)

Graeme Rodaughan Hi Upasana,

Welcome to the group. There is a very active set of people here with a lot of experiences to share.

As a newbie, I've learned heaps.

Quantum (quantumkatana) Hi Upasana,

I really like yoga, but I've got to get back into it. Maybe you could start a yoga store?

message 314: by Sola (new)

Sola (theviolentvixenreviews) | 33 comments Um, sorry, I don't do zombies... in the fantastic sense or romantic one... zombies creep me out.

on a serious note, there's another romance thread that we'd be honored to have you contribute to if you so desire:

and, it's just Ann and I on that thread up to now, and tbh, it's kind of boring w/only 2 people.

Sola (theviolentvixenreviews) | 33 comments Yep, sure are in my policies, as many books as I read, I definitely know what I won't read!
Let me tell ya, there are some insane books out there!

I don't know what it is about zombies that creeps me out so bad. It's not that I just don't like them, they legitimately give me nightmares.

Question for the participants of this thread. I am not sure how to classify as genre type a novel I am writing presently. It has people using magic, demons, angels, vampires, werewolves and dragons, along with lots of explicit sex (it will be rated 'for adults only') and will take place in modern times, mostly around Los Angeles. Should it be considered:
- a: as an erotica novel;
- b: as a mixed erotica/fantasy novel;
- c: as a fantasy novel for adults; or
- d: something entirely on its own.

I would much appreciate your various opinions on this. Thanks in advance.

sounds cool. why don't you start a thread w/a good title in the "help outside the cover" folder? more people will be able to find it than here buried in the intro thread.

i thought authors who write romance have big hearts and are full of empathy? but i guess you brandish a katana for a reason.

message 331: by Annie (new)

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) @Miss Courtney: Beetlejuice in a sex scene. Now I'm creeped out...

@Awesome Alex: Um, no. I'm not a fan of rainbow-shooting HEAs. And I put my heroes through the wringer. Heroines too. Everyone. Wringer.

Hi Courtney and welcome!
It's quite sunny here, so you'll need all those hats you wear throughout the day. We'll probably encourage you to finish one of those 20 stories soonest, just like we expect of Alex. For a sec I had a deja vu there.
Having some extraterrestrials on the group, we boast the lowest zombie rate, so I hope your sleep won't be endangered-:)

Hope you'll enjoy and contribute!

India Adams (indiaradams) | 18 comments Well, Nik invited me to this group sometime back but I am only now just smart enough to see the read invitation in my author dashboard so... here I am? Better late than never ?

I'm an author of many YA and NA novels (been writing over the past 8 years), and have recently entered the crazy world of self publishing and started releasing them! Six so far, with more 4 sequels coming out next year.

I LOVE meeting new people on Goodreads! So feel free to "friend" me. I love to chat about books, writing, reviews and everything to do with books. This group looks great. Thanks for the invite, Nik!

i see that you tackle substantial and socially conscious subjects, including human trafficking, which is, with the reach of our global economy, the new scourge on humanity.

that would be a good topic for the World discussion group.

Lol! NA is New Adult, like YA being Young Adult but with an age group around college years.
