Annie, I first heard TTFN years and years ago so you're not alone! Have you ever watched the drama/documentary Housewife, 49? You hear TTFN in that.

Though in my home town it would be TRFN - they say ta ra.

It seems you've done something more difficult in your life than marketing, so I hope you'll master this seemingly unattainable knowledge (says someone, who like you is a total rookie in this).
We don't charge membership, so participating shouldn't have any adverse material effect-:)

I do recommend Housewife, 49. It's about a woman who wrote a wartime diary for Mass Observation and the late, great Victoria Wood plays the lead part.

Welcome to the group, Jen! Marketing is definitely tricky as our books get lost in the sea of...all the other books :). If you use facebook, your book might do well on the Kindle Unlimited facebook groups. It looks to me like non-fiction gets attention there (specifically, how-to books).

By the way, Everyone, I have read Jen's book about getting out of debt and it is great! It is written compassionately which I think will be appreciated by people who find themselves in a financial bind. :)

Hi Marie! Thanks for the kind things you said about my book and for the Facebook tips. I have a FB page that is invisible to my personal page, but I think that I would need to try to get a pen name account to post on other FB groups. I think that's against FB's rules though.

I do need to keep them separate as I think my OH will murder or divorce me if he is identified, also I don't want certain Relatives From Hell to know about the book. ;)

Hello everyone!

I am a French-Canadian growing older everyday while waiting for that fine day when I will be able to finally truly retire. I am 61, married with two grown sons, retired nine years ago from the Canadian Forces after 32 years of service but still have to work to supplement my military pension. Writing is my passion (fiction, science-fiction, alternate history, military and spy thrillers) but I publish everything online for free. This may sound strange, coming from someone introducing himself to a group titled 'Wealth, Writing, World', but I always had and still have an intense interest in what is happening around the World. I traveled a lot in my military career (five and a half years total overseas: Germany and most of Western Europe; Cyprus; Bosnia; Lebanon; Syria), plus visited a few more countries as a tourist. I speak fluently French and English, plus a limited Spanish, and pride myself in being a tolerant, open-minded man (atheist and humanist). So, even if I don't have the wealth, I certainly qualify on the writing and world parts.

Yo! I am Matt, my father's name is Mr. Williams. I was born in Ottawa but now live near Victoria, BC. with my wife and cat. I am a former educator, a current writer for Universe Today and HeroX, a science fiction indie, and a Taekwon-Do instructor.

For Universe Today, I am the Curator of their Guide to Space Section and a regular contributor. For HeroX, I write stories about crowdfunding/crowdsourced innovation and technology.

I am currently working on my magnum opus (The Cronian Incident) which is a story about the future of space exploration, colonization, terraforming, and human development.

Excellent! What I'd really like is to help people work on sci-fi concepts. I've been doing that with another friend and she enjoyed being able to ask "could this work"? You know, from a astrophysics perspective. While I'm not classically trained in the field, I've had to learn quick in order to write about space and astronomy and its yielded some BIG returns on the sci-fi front.

Good question! And in a sense, it can. Basically, all matter in the universe is bound by the law of special relativity that says that time dilates as the speed of light approaches. In other words, time slows down as an object moves closer to the speed of light. So theoretically, if something could ever push past the speed of light, it would begin traveling backwards in time.

Now does this mean time travel is possible in the sense of using a machine to open a rift in space and go backwards? Not really. Or at least, not in any way that can be described as scientifically sound. But then again, they call it science FICTION for a reason ;)

Hello, I’m Daniel.

I have loved language, literature, and the art of storytelling ever since I was very small, and now I write critical analyses on classical literature for fun in my spare time. I also really love grammar, but please do think I am a grammar zealot, I’m not; I’m fascinated by what grammar makes possible, but I don’t concern myself with whether or not people use the correct form of “there” (I still make that mistake from time to time) in casual writing. I also love writing fiction.

I live in Portland Oregon (the city where trees are people too), and I’m currently learning German. I find German to be one of the most intriguing languages on Earth - it is at times phonetically hilarious, and other times hauntingly poetic. As I indicated above, I’m American, so I’m used to people assuming I’m joking when I say all that about the German language, but I do mean it.

Finally, my favorite Star Trek captain is definitely Kathryn Janeway. The debate always seems to be between Kirk and Picard, never mind that this woman traveled seventy-five thousand lightyears in less than one tenth of the estimated time.

I'm an Australian who has spent most of my career working in a cubicle in an office, while the warm Australian sun shines outside my window.
In the last few years it's become increasingly obvious that office workers are struggling to deal with new technology, trendy management techniques and even navigating our way around all of the catchphrases and jargon that we get bombarded with every day.

I felt there was a need to demystify these things and this led me to write my first book about how employees can make the most of this strange environment. ( It's called Everyday Ways to Win in Office Life)
