Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments 100. To Capture Mr. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation Novel - 4 stars
101. North and South: All Volumes - 3 stars (Sophia- is this considered JAFF? I can see the similarity, but I'll pull it from my list if it doesn't meet others' criteria)
102. A Conversation Behind the Tapestries: A Pride and Prejudice Variation - 3 stars
103. The Road to Understanding: A Pride and Prejudice Vagary - 5 stars

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments 104. Lizzy's Novel: A Pride and Prejudice Variation - 2 stars
105. Pride And Education - 5 stars
106. Darcy & Lizzy: A Pride and Prejudice Modern Romance - 2 stars
107. All That This Entails - 4 stars
108. Lady Susan - 5 stars

My #109 is so short, perhaps it doesn't qualify as a "Book."

Anji | 283 comments I'm very impressed Debbie. Enjoy your stay in Mr. Bennet's library for the rest of the year!

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments I think such a long list may, unfortunately, prove that I live vicariously through books more than I actively live life! Probably would be healthier for me to read fewer books, but it's what I most love to do.

message 58: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments If books are your thing,Debbie, read on!!!

message 59: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Aw, Mary, you and Anji are so sweet!

message 65: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments A mixed bag, certainly. But at least you had the pleasure of reading 3 very good books!!

message 67: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments 144???Wow! What s fantastic achievement...and we've still got almost 6 months left!!!

message 69: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Oh, no bowing, please. I'll allow you to kiss my ring, if you wish! ; )

message 72: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments 150??!! Debbie,that's fantastic!! Well done!!

message 73: by Anji (new)

Anji | 283 comments I'm so pleased you enjoyed Chaos Comes to Longbourn and Win, Lose or Darcy, Debbie. I always have a soft spot for the books that I've been fortunate to beta for, so it's not always easy to be impartial, but I really did have a lot of fun reading these two. Seems like you did too!

Oh, lucky you to get to read advance copies of those, Anji! Yes, I loved them both and had fun writing my reviews for them, too.

Thank you, Mary! You're such a lovely cheerleader!

Mary | 452 comments Thank you Debbie!

message 79: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Wow, Debbie, look at all those 5-star ratings (and a 5+!!)--your reads are surely looking up these days.

message 80: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments This HAS been a good stretch! Love when that happens!

message 81: by Anji (last edited Jul 29, 2016 03:24PM) (new)

Anji | 283 comments My goodness, Debbie, up to 161 already? I've only read one of this latest ten (actually listened to the audio) - Anne's Adversity. Probably fell a little in love with Luc Mauvier, too.

You're really on a roll lately!

message 82: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments Debbie-161 books??? Simply amazing!! Congrats on such an achievement!!!

Meredith (Austenesque Reviews) (merry816) | 31 comments This list is amazing, Debbie! Brava!!! If there is anyone who stands a chance of keeping up with Austenesque authors , it is you my friend! :)

message 85: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Crazy idea for the last one—does the author really pull it off? I can’t imagine anyone being as deftly, wickedly hilarious as Oscar Wilde.

message 86: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments I don't know if you've read any of that author's books, Abigail, but this is just one in a series of she's written that transplants Darcy and Elizabeth into the appropriate time and place for interaction with various historical figures like Shakespeare and Van Gogh. They're pretty outside the box for Pride and Prejudice variations, but I've come to enjoy them. I did write a full review for it, so you can see my opinion in more detail there.

message 87: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) I haven’t read any of them, Debbie, and you have piqued my curiosity! Sigh, the TBR gets longer . . .

message 90: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments 172.....what an impressive list of books!!! Surely that TBR list is halved at this stage??!! Congrats!!!

message 91: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Thank you, Mary. Oh, I wish that TBR list would get smaller! Still has 148 books and growing!

message 92: by Claudine (new)

Claudine DiMuzio / Just Jane 1813 | 224 comments Yes, but do you really want to have that TBR list all done? What would there be to look forward to?

message 93: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments OK, you got me there. I'd just rather it be a less imposing total!

message 94: by Claudine (new)

Claudine DiMuzio / Just Jane 1813 | 224 comments LOL! I understand, Debbie.

message 95: by Suzan (new)

Suzan Lauder (suzan_lauder) | 12 comments There are around 1000 JAFF books published and easily the same number on the boards. I don't know what Debbie read prior to this year, but that's a huge pile to overcome! Mind you, discerning readers may not bother with the clear one stars. How many does that cut out?

message 96: by Debbie (last edited Aug 22, 2016 07:22AM) (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments I started reading JAFF in 2012. By my calculations, I've read 824 JAFF novels since then. I usually avoid books that have gotten only 1-2 stars from previous reviewers. When I first started reading JAFF, I re-read them often because there was sometimes a long gap between anything new being published. But I've noticed a major spike in how quickly good new books are coming out in the past two years or so. It's just not possible to keep up with them all anymore!

Glad to hear you don't torment yourself with those books that should be pulled by Amazon, as usually the super low stars are due to a horrible level of lack of editing. Thankfully, most JAFF authors try harder than that! Meredith at Austenesque says there are about 30 new books published each month. Now, that doesn't include the online unpublished, so I can see how your to-read list remains at a similar level in spite of your gobbling the books!

message 99: by Mary (new)

Mary | 452 comments Debbie-I don't even have 78 books read and you've read 100 more than that!!!! Take a bow!!! Great job!
