Fran | 12278 comments Let's reflect on the best and worst of the previous month's books.....

I know I can get so focused on what is next that I forget about all the wonderful books I read for the previous month's challenges!

Did you find some gems? DNF a few? Find your new book boyfriend or a heroine who personifies TSTL? Come on, we all want to know!

Fran | 12278 comments My favorite read of January was Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli . I loved Simon and his funny and sometimes angsty navigation through high school. The writing is wonderful.

My least favorite was Santa Baby, I Want A Bad Boy For Christmas Santa Baby, I Want A Bad Boy For Christmas by Justine Elvira . It wasn't bad, it just had a few things I would have changed in the story.

Overall I had a great reading month, enjoying all 8 books I read. Some more than others, but still very successful :)

MountainKat | 31599 comments I read a lot of really good books last month, but I think the ones that stand out were Taxes and TARDIS and Our December - they were both so, so sweet!

I think I agree with you for worst though - not a bad book, just not that good.

Avid Reader and Geek Girl (avidreaderandgeekgirl) | 502 comments DNF's for January [Music of Love] way too much flowery language and also Colors this one should have had a trigger warning as it deals heavily with clergy sexual abuse.

I LOVE LOVE Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda!!

Breann | 398 comments My month was mostly meh, but I found a couple favorites.

Cowboy Take Me Away was so good! It's one of those series where I don't even read the blurb, I just add the next one. I was pleasantly surprised that it was Carson and Carolyn's story! So sweet.

Signs Really, really good story. Very emotional, but not angsty. Well, no unnecessary angst created by the characters, at least.

Moonlight on Nightingale Way I love this series. So sad to see it ending!

I want to read it!

Anita Reads | 170 comments For my favorite read in January i don't think I can only name one. There was 5 5 star reads that I really loved.
One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress #6) by Jeaniene Frost Thorn Queen (Dark Swan, #2) by Richelle Mead Dead Beat (The Dresden Files, #7) by Jim Butcher Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson, #1) by Molly Harper Fall with Me (Wait for You, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

My least favorite read was:
Club Luxe 1 The Private Room (Billionaires Underground, #1) by Olivia Noble
Nothing really happened in this book except sex, and then the male interest was a complete douche which ruined everything in my opinion. Gave it 2 stars.

Connie N. | 1316 comments I read Club Luxe last year, Anita, and rated it 2 stars also. Disappointing.

Connie N. | 1316 comments My favorites for January were:
The Witness by Nora Roberts - Always love Nora Roberts

Instant Attraction (Wilder, #1) by Jill Shalvis - Same for Jill Shalvis

Unleashed (Ross Siblings, #1) by Cherrie Lynn - A new-to-me author with a nice romance set in Hawaii.

I Hunt Killers (Jasper Dent, #1) by Barry Lyga - Not my usual genre, but a good start to an interesting series.

And, of course, everything from the In Death series!

Anita Reads | 170 comments Uh, I loved The Witness as well. One of the first books I read by her, but still one of my favorites.
