You got it, Trea. Way to go!

My older sister read The Trumpet of the Swan to me when I was a little girl, and I loved it. In fact, that's the book that inspired TCF's Summer Camp. I recently read Charlotte's Web. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

I've tried to read it several times over the years, but I've never enjoyed it. However, my husband loves it and has even tried to read it to me. Him reading that line to me has always stuck with me...

Is there a P?
Is there a B?

message 1228: by Kathy (new)

Kathy Forgive me, Lanelle, but I'm getting a little confused. In message 1244, 7 I's are noted. In 1252, 9 A's are noted. I may be mistaken, but I think there are 8 A's and 6 I's filled in. Also, would it be possible to confirm the number of H's?

Thanks very much!

message 1229: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I had a very busy day yesterday and couldn't get on to post, but I finished two books over the course of the day. They were Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker by George Lucas and Imitation in Death by J. D. Robb. Is there an S and an R?

Twarit, you can only guess one letter per book, and I've already guessed S. Could you change your post so there is less confusion for Lanelle?

message 1232: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

Lanelle | 20980 comments Mod
Kathy, thank you for making sure that the letters are right. I was missing an A. It's been filled in. The H's are correct.

message 1234: by Lanelle, Production Chief (last edited Jul 13, 2016 06:01AM) (new)

Lanelle | 20980 comments Mod
Debbie, there are 2 Fs.

Kathy, there are no Ps or Bs.

Trea, there are 3 Ss and 3 Rs.

I think all these letters will make the quote guessable!

message 1235: by VampAmber (new)

VampAmber | 622 comments Is it “If you were a woman, all I'd have to say is 'Colin Firth in a wet shirt' and you'd say 'Ah.” from Austenland by Shannon Hale? (pretty sure it is, because I trust mah Google-fu)

The book's on my TBR list, though I did see the movie (which is the reason the book's on my TBR list, because the movie was great except for a few things that came off as unfunny to me that I'm hoping aren't as bad in the book).

message 1236: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

Lanelle | 20980 comments Mod
Denise, I don't think you have any eligible letters unless you want to take Twarit's J. Take a look at the quote and see if you can guess it now.

message 1239: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

Lanelle | 20980 comments Mod
Yep, that's it, VampAmber. The movie was pretty funny. It looked like the actors had a great time filming it.

I actually liked the book better. I think that every girl who grew up watching Disney movies should read this book for the underlining message.

message 1240: by VampAmber (new)

VampAmber | 622 comments My only actual problem with the movie was the painful way Jennifer Coolidge played her character, over-acting to the point of ridiculousness. She's normally a good actor. *shrugs* That's why my hopes are extra high for the book. ^_^ And now I might need to request it from the library..........

I can live with that, actually, because he's part of a long and rather varied list (because thankfully being 32 doesn't mean you can't have tons of fangirl crushes).
