SOLVED. Teen Fiction, two books in the series, one book taking place in 7th grade and the second taking place in 8th grade [s]

I read this book years ago, I was in about 6th or 7th grade. It's a series, of two books. I found them at my junior high's library. One book followed the main character through 7th grade and the other in 8th grade. It was kind of just a typical teen middle school book. I don't remember the name of the main character BUT I remember that one character was named Reed or Reede (she was a girl) and this girl was new to the school and the main character has to share lockers or something like that with the new girl. Oh and she didn't really get along with this new girl at first. I've been wanting to find these books again but I can't even remember the title or author and I'm just stuck, help please!

Kris, I read it in 2012 I believe, and I remember it being in the "popular books" section of the library so it would've been a pretty popular book during that year

Leslie, that's not it, it wasn't the main character who is named Reed, she was more of a side character
