Melanti | 761 comments Does anyone who knows arabic (or has the patience to fiddle with a translating tool) have the time to look at this series?

I tried putting the series name into Google Translate and it seems to translate as "Series Awards" which seems a bit strange to me.

Is this an imprint rather than a series, and thus should it be a listopia instead? Or is there an actual award involved that should be included in the awards field? I'm confused as to what should be done.

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments "Award series" probably makes more sense (word order differs greatly in many languages, it's always good to try the words on in a more logical English order).

That's a publisher imprint with most of the books aren't combined with their originals. All but one of the names I recognise on that are Nobel winners, so those are almost certainly well known books. Looking at the covers of the Arabic editions they have similar branding and layout, so probably a collectors set of "famous novels by major award winning authors" more or less.

Melanti | 761 comments Okay, sounds good to me.

I've created a listopia then.

I think I was able to find the corresponding edition to everything except Blindness, so if anyone wants to be a second set of eyes, I'd appreciate it. There's a few arabic editions, but I don't see one that has a cover that matches.

Regarding not being combined with the English - most of them were already combined with other editions.

The ones were they weren't seemed to be things like short story collections and omnibuses with no obvious corresponding English correlation.
