Sally906 | 1765 comments I'm just about to turn out my lights as is way past my bedtime - but I'll take one of the S's - as I am currently reading The Skeleton in the closet.

Sorry I can't link as on my app rather than PC :)

I would be happy to read 2 books - so will pick from what's left after everyone else has picked.

message 454: by Lory (new)

Lory | 629 comments Do you guys want to stick to 6 people? Or do you want to pick up some hitchhikers? I'm ok with 6 people, since our hitchhikers might be more ambitious timeline wise.

message 455: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 1765 comments I'm happy to stick to 6 - I agree we're not an aggressive team just happy to plod to a 3 week cycle - new blood might want us to rush along. Then again they might like to plod :)

And on that note it's bedtime - is almost midnight and I'll turn into a pumpkin if up for much longer.

message 456: by Tally (new)

Yup! Double checked the rules this is what I found "Spell-it-out rules

Using the first letter in the book’s title, the first letter of the series name, the first letter in the author’s first or last name...." I just always try to go with the title *personal preference*

And yes I'll definitely let you know what I think of After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid ! Im so excited, I bought 3 of her novels together doing like a little Taylor Jenkins Reid challenge haha

Sally906 | 1765 comments OK - next up is:

Enontekio (FI) - Burgas (BG)
detour: Read a book that won or was nominated in the 2014 Goodread Choice Awards (https://www.goodreads.com/choiceaward...)

We can choose to either read a book that is set in Finland or the author is Finnish, or spell the city out.

https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...

OR

Do the detour - book nominated Goodreads 2014

message 479: by Sally906 (last edited Sep 10, 2016 03:46PM) (new)

Sally906 | 1765 comments *sigh*
None of them fill me with ethusiasm I have to confess :)

Spelling out the "to" city BURGAS would mean 1 book each - I could do most any letter except the U as I used my only U book for the last spell-it-out.

I have found one that I could possible read if we chose the detour - is not on my TBR pile but can get my hands on a copy.

Finnish author? Well actually I love the Moomin books ( Finn Family Moomintroll) so would be happy to reread one of them - but other than that? Nah!

message 480: by Lory (new)

Lory | 629 comments Im up for the detour if others are.

message 481: by Erika (new)

Erika If we do the detour I found 4 i could read that I own and a bunch that i could easily get from my library

If no detour, i'm thinking spell it out would be best

message 482: by Sally906 (last edited Sep 11, 2016 12:49AM) (new)

Sally906 | 1765 comments Ok - 3 votes for detour :)

Any nays?

My library has 4 copies of Landline by Rainbow Rowell which was top fiction for 2014. I read another book by her and it was ok

Tally (tallyrrn) When do you have to read our book by, Oct 4th? I think that would be 3 weeks from our last stop... please correct me if wrong!

message 495: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 1765 comments I got Monday 3rd - but happy for 4th :)

message 496: by Lory (new)

Lory | 629 comments I think we said the 3rd, but I'll take the 4th too! My book doesn't fit anything in the wobble, so it keeps getting pushed aside :(

message 497: by 0possum (new)

0possum I finished I am Pilgrim. It was really good. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. It was slow at times but the info was mostly needed. I'm not sure all of it was necessary. It did drag a bit in the middle. I need to take a breather from complex really long books now. I'm going to pick a nice short fluffy book about bunnies or something next go around -and they can't be killer bunnies either.

message 498: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 1765 comments LOL - I have a book in my TBR pile about a bunny with evil intent - The bunny that took over the world by Stephen (Steven?) Olsen

Sorry can't link as on my app.

message 499: by 0possum (new)

0possum I found it! The Bunny That Took Over The World

It's in kindle format too but I will restrain myself (for now). I'd have to get the paperback because I like the cover.

That's the one - scored an advanced copy years ago - really should read it.
