I am enjoying it - its just been one of those weeks where I can't seem to sit down for more than 5 mins at a time to read - looking forward to a child free weekend this week end where I plan to do nothing but catch up on sleep and read :-)

Awesome that makes 7 of us! So Lindsay you can read any book during the stop and we get the 50 points!!
Yay, we're almost done this stop. Apoorv, how's your book coming along?I guess the next stop should be easy to do the detour for, since we just need the tag detour. We probably pretty much already have one for that already finished from just about everybody.
I am so sorry, I have been a real slacker this week.Work and school has been bad. I will try and finish the book as early as I can. Apologies !
I updated the spreadsheet with all the books I have read in the past two weeksWhat are we working on now?
I think we are just waiting for Apoorv to finish his Magic book so we can max out our points for the detour. But I think we are close to having enough books logged to finish the next detour already, so we could probably start looking for books for detour 4. :)
Technically we have finished the detour. Do we want to just take the fewer points and move on to the next stop, or wait? Apoorv, any idea when you will be finished?
I say lets move on sacrifice the 10 points and see if we can get another country done....Seems people are still active adding to the spreadsheet and we might be able to move on....

This might be for the best.
I think it might be more than 10 points, but I'm still okay with moving on. I think we might have enough books for the next detour to be finished already! :)
I'm also OK with moving on. Has any one of you PMed Apoorv to check whether he will continue playing. If not we can get a new player to join us.
I sent Apoorv a PM to see if he would like to continue with us. I will let you all know if I hear from him.
I am here and I finished the book on 2/25.I profusely apologize for being MIA for so long. I hate doing this but I have been relocating and work and school both are getting very tough to manage the last two weeks. I literally have read just 4 books this whole month.. its probably my all-time low!
I have updated the spreadsheet and will be continuing with the challenge. I apologize again for being such a slacker and I hope to get my grooves back starting next week.
P.S. I would probably stick to reading non-detour specific books for the next couple of weeks till I get settled here so that I dont hold up the team any longer.
Thanks Apoorv! I'll let the mods know we are ready to move onto our next location. And congrats on getting 4 books read in the midst of a move--that's always a crazy time! Not to mention work and school.
Alright apoorv! And I totally understand I haven't been reading much either, school year is starting back up and I have to move and get ready for all of that and I'm a bit stressed out as well! Can't wait to get back to reading more!
I messaged the mods to move us, and they have updated our scores. I am historically pretty terrible with spreadsheets, but made an attempt to add the next stop to ours. Am I correct that we want to do the detour for Stop #3? *And if anyone wants to fix the spreadsheet--please feel free!* :)
So when is the week at the stop done? Do we count Apoorv's finish date of Feb 25? There was no post in the thread with pretty scenic pictures so I'm not sure when the official start was of this stop.
I messages the mods we were done last Sunday. Eight days would make it Tuesday, but since we got so far behind, and we have finished this stop, maybe they would move us early?
so what's going on? is everyone still reading? sure is quiet. I finished a book should I keep adding to spreadsheet?
I don't know. I'm still adding to the spreadsheet but I feel confused about how we're supposed to handle this challenge in general. It's hard not having a captain to keep everything focused.
stacey have you heard back from the mods yet? in the morning when i get to the computer i will update with all the books ive read to the spreadsheet and perhaps read through the rules and threads to see what is what and what otger teams are doing? i wonder how many of our team members are still wanting to continue?
I am still keen to continue and am still adding books to the spreadsheet :-) *goes off to add two more* :-P
I will message the mods today and see if they will move us forward. I'm good to keep going, but I will admit I haven't been very faithful about logging books unless I think they will work for a detour. I'll update what I've missed.
Does anyone have thoughts on whether to do the task or the detour for the next stop? It looks like we have 3 books finished that would work for the detour already, and I have a 4th I can read that would work. Or we could just do the spell it out or books set in Greece.
I quickly checked and I think for the next stop we have everything required for the spell out completed already.
I should be on my main computer in half hour and will double check and post what we are missing for the next round.
Spell Out for Round 4P - book Pull read by Lindsay IL
A -book Adventures in Funeral Crashing read by Rosina
T - book This House is Haunted read by Nikki
R - book Rapture in Death read by Joanne
A - author first name Death on the Nile - Agatha Christie read by Poongothai
I - author last nameGuardians of Eternity - Erwählte der Schatten - Alexandra Ivy read by Stacey
As this stands for Stop 4 we would have 25 points.
We are missing books from both Romina & Apoorov on the spreadsheet so I don't know if they are still reading and just haven't updated the spreadsheet.
If they both have a book read then we would get the additional 10 points.
The rules also state◈ If you don't contribute to the team (by discussion or reading books - i.e. you are MIA) for 7 or more days, the team can leave you at the stop and pick up a hitch-hiker at their next stop (i.e. a new member) or continue with one less member.
Hopefully today everyone gets a chance to check in and the mods get back to us so we can advance to round 4. I think we should start planning for round 5 and beyond.
If anyone gets a chance today to look at the spreadsheet and have a preference for what we should do for a round let us know.
Personally I think doing spell out is the easiest but of course it doesn't give us maximum points.
We have 3 detours left with 4 stops, so one of the stops will have to be spellout or books from the country.
I gotta get to work for now but will check in through out the day.
I messaged the mods. They have given us the points for the last stop, and we are free to move on. I asked if we could move before 8 days since we had enough books banked to complete the spell it out already. They said no, we had to stay for 8 days because we each still have to finish another book during each stop. Am I the only one not aware of that? Did we do that on the last stop??
I'll try to work on the spreadsheet some this evening.
So suddenly the spreadsheet won't let me copy/paste. Can someone else try and see if its me or the spreadsheet?
I was able to add my book to the spreadsheet. Thanks for checking Stacey on whether we can advance or not.....so we have to wait till next week to submit our stop.....so if I understand correctly we just have to wait for Romina to submit a book sometime this week
I find this a tad confusing.....off to read the rules again....
It sounded like we had to read a book in addition to the one that we used from the list. But maybe I misunderstood that.
