I am in but I probably won't get much done. My daughter Heather had a seizure and her pacemaker/defibrillator shocked her at the same time so we spent the last day and a half at the hospital. She is very tired and she comes first but when i have her settled down with a movie or for a nap, I pull out my books. I haven't figured out how to post the pictures of the ones I am reading but I will do my best if someone can give me instructions. Thank you.Jina
@Jina, the text box where you text? There is an "add book/author" button written in green above that box. Click on it.
You can search a book or an author, and at the bottom of the little pop up, you will see "Add: Link / Cover". Click the circle thingy for the option you want and type your book in the search bar to find it. Find the book you want and click "add".
I hope your daughter recovers! Give her a hug for me, and good luck on the readathon!

Thank you so much for the instructions and your kind words about my daughter Heather. My goal is 1000 pages. We will see how I do.
Thanks again.

I hope your daughter recovers quickly! Have you made it home again, or are you still in the hospital?
Thank you all for your help. I just haven't had time to add my books that I am reading yet. Heather is home but still not feeling well. Twenty minutes ago I got the phone call that I have been waiting for. Heather got approved to go back on the heart medicine called Nadolol. This medicine works well for her. They only switched medicines because insurance cut coverage of it. Now because she HAS to have it and cant have a substitute medicine the insurance company will let the prescription go through. We should see Heather feeling better within 3-7 days. Thank the Lord. Now for books I am reading: I just finished Steels Edge by Ilona Andrews, and Victoria Lauries A Ghouls Guide to Love and Murder. Both were awesome books. Other books that I am currently reading are, "Give Up the Ghost" by Juliet Blackwell
"Dreamers Pool" by Juliet Marillier
"Wish Bound" by J. C. Nelson
"Grave Matters" by Lauren M Roy
I have a couple other books I read too. But I keep them in the car for when we go to appointments.
Thanks again.
Jina
Let me know if you can see the book. All I see is a few numbers from trying "add book/author"
Jina,I'm glad your daughter will be going back on the medicine that worked for her! I hope she starts feeling better slower to the 3 day mark than the 7 day!!!
Also, I can see the book cover for Dreamer's Pool just fine.
Morning guys! I'm late, as seems to be the way these last few months. But I'm in. We've been moving to another state, re-modeling our old house to sell it , and decided to get an apartment since the kids are gone (woohoo!). But thank goodness my kindle has text to speech, so while I'm cleaning, packing, and un-packing I've had time to read way more than usual! Of course, I'm supposed to be writing my third book (shh, don't tell anyone!), but with so much going on in the move I just haven't had the time. So, here's what I've read thus far:
Now I'm currently reading and should be finished by tonight:
Hopefully I did this right. This is my first time participating and I'm still fumbling around goodreads, trying to figure out how to use it.
Hope everyone's week starts off well guys!!
Callie

I am terribly sorry for starting the Read-a-Thon a day late. With school starting and a few other things in my personal life happening, the month got away from me!
With that being said, I've moved the RaT one day back, meaning that it will run into the first day of February to make up for the late start.
As with the Read-a-Thons from 2015, we begin at the stroke of 12:00am (midnight) on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 and will keep going until the last second of 11:59pm (just before midnight) on Monday, February 1st, 2016.
You may set goals for yourself to achieve, or simply log to see how many hours/pages/books/challenges/etc you were able to finish.
The choice is yours.
The main goal of this is to push yourself to read more than you normally would.
Grab your books and let's get reading!
