Rook (booksyarntea) Alrighty, so I'm going to attempt to read 12 books this year and I hoping that a lot of others will walk with me on my journey. Below are the books I've slated to read through June, but whether or not the list stays the same, well... That remains to be seen! ;)

NOTE. If the title has a strikethrough, it means I finished reading it.
January: Grave Memory by Kalayna Price (4/5, re-read)
February: Grave Visions by Kalayna Price (5/5)
March: Maplecroft by Cherie Priest
April: Stolen by Kelley Armstrong
May: Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey (or finish Kushiel's Dart if I end up not liking the other book)
June: Caliban's War by James S.A. Corey (or finish Day Shift)
July: Dark Currents by Jacqueline Carey (or finish Asylum)
August: The Oversight by Charlie Fletcher
September: Written in Red by Anne Bishop
October ???
November ???
December ???
Extras, Fillers, & Guilty PleasuresBasically, books I didn't plan to read but picked up anyway plus other books that may not have the best plot (or are riddled with grammatical errors), but I find to be a guilty pleasure anyway...
Betrayed: Book Two - The Road to Redemption
I hope I've created/listed this post correctly?

I have already read Leviathan Wakes and I loved it. I blends the perfect amount of science fiction, western, suspense and action together. I hope you enjoy the it too.

Good luck on your challenge.

I'm really glad to hear that, to be honest. I do like sci-fi television (which is how I came about finding the book due to The Expanse on Syfy), but when it comes to reading sci-fi... I tend to get picky :x.

Thank you! Good luck with yours as well :D.

Rook (booksyarntea) Alright so the first proverbial shoe has been dropped in Grave Visions, the latest release by Kalayna Price.

Alex's life as a whole continues to get increasingly complicated as told by her father when he tells her (view spoiler). That is going to play havoc on Alex's guilt. And, of course, that's not all.

Her father has, once again, tried to manipulate and scheme her into choosing her fate when all she wants is to retain her freedom. Although, to be fair, I find it utterly hilarious that she's (view spoiler). But, that's just my two cents on that particular matter.
