Is it worth reading before seeing the film?

Darren Humphries (darrenhf) | 6903 comments It was given away cheap with a paper over the weekend. Didn't buy it.

That doesn't help much, does it?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Nope.

Tim | 8539 comments I saw the film: that was as much as I needed.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Ah. Okay, thanks Tim.

Don't think I'll bother reading it, then. Gawd knows I've got enough to read.

Sean Peters | 5 comments I have seen the film, great acting, great photography, a good film and effects.

Although a little slow, and I am sure the book would be slow although not read.

Watched the film. Don't know how the book will be. Maybe I'll give it a try soon.

B J Burton (bjburton) | 2680 comments One big advantage that the book must have over the film is being able to read the dialogue. I found a lot of the dialogue in the film incomprehensible. Despite the ear-popping volume level employed in cinemas these days I barely understood a word mumbled by the Fitzgerald character.
