Queezle | 5 comments Girl's parents send her off to school while they go on some sort of trip where they can't be contacted, instead she ends up in some sort of alternate universe (I think?) school but they don't know since she can't contact them. She's in a forest and she meets two boys. That's as far as I got unfortunately.

Started reading this book a while ago, now I want to finish it but I can't remember what it was called.

No but thank you for trying!

Michele | 2488 comments Queezle, a few questions to maybe bring out some detail: How old is the girl? How far into the book did she meet the two boys (first few pages, halfway)? Do you recall anything about the cover -- what was on the cover, or even what colors? Hardback or paperback? How long ago is "a while ago"? At the time you read it, do you recall if it was a new book or an older one? Do you remember anything about the general "feel" of the book -- mystery, romance, horror? Do you recall how long the book was (thin, medium, thick, doorstop)?

Any little detail might jog someone's memory!

Leslie Meakin | 34 comments Witch Week by Diana Wayne Jones is set in a boarding school in southern England, in a world parallel and close to ours.

Queezle | 5 comments Thank you Leslie and Michele! It's not Witch Week but I appreciate the attempt (I love Diana Wynne Jones!).

I unfortunately can't remember the cover or the size (maybe medium size?). I only skimmed the first few chapters, then put it down and now I want to read the whole thing but I can't remember the title.

What I do remember is that she starts out in one reality (I think) but then she goes into a different one - the whole thing isn't set in one alternate universe, I don't think. The one she ends up in, in the forest, is different. First she meets one guy, but she thinks that he's a bit odd I think and doesn't go with him, and then she meets two other boys. That's all I remember - super vague I know, but I appreciate any help! Thanks so much!

I'd say that the girl is a teenager, and that the book itself is relatively newish. I think that's it's a fantasy YA, not really a romance/mystery/horror.

Krazykiwi | 152 comments Stray by Andrea K. Host sort of fits: girl accidentally wanders from one reality to another, ends up in a forest, eventually gets found and lands in a sort of other-dimensional school.

It wasn't Stray but thanks for trying! I don't think that it had a diary format.
