I've read our goals and there are a lot of book that I can read without problems, but there are so many goals that I have to check tomorrow to be sure. For now I know that I can (and if possible I really want to) read a book "with Mr. or Mrs.in the title") because I'd like to read
in february (and obviously if someone want to read it with me is welcome! :) ).And you?
Well, we have time! :)It's just that is a lot that I want to read that book, so as soon as I see the Mr. or Mrs. task I thought about him! ;P
I have a few buddy reads set up that are set in stone. They're a little flexible as far as categories:
Me too! I was the team planner for Family Fortunes but that was exhausting. I'm basically gonna wing it for this one, finding books for a specific category as they're needed.
Heather wrote: "I definitely think we do need to go into it with a plan though!"I suggest we take it one section at a time and once we finish one, move on to the next and loop back again. We get a lot of bonus points for finishing each section.
I think it would be best to try to see first which goal we could cover without problems, just to see what we have and what we can do, and then try to organize it to do how suggest Abby, and complete one section at time, or try to do it.It makes sens for you?
You're right, Sibil. Some categories are clearly easier than others so we should determine which ones we can cover.
I think that so it would be also more easy to try to finish the section :)We could write down all the category that we can cover (maybe with a possible title ex: A book with Mr. or Mrs on the title ->Mr. Perfect" , because maybe you have the same book but do not think of it, but if we read the same book we can make some point for buddy read, for example) and then let's see what would come out :)
here :) dont know if should talk to you all while the other challenge is still going ;) this challenge is gonna be a stretch for me, most is gonna be romance based books, which i usually hate... :/

Heather wrote: "I agree and did someone alert Sarah and Abbie that we were spammed?"
Yes, I think was Abbiy who told them! :)
Good! I know it isn't nice to do this but I went looking at other teams threads to see if they had gotten spammed and some teams are assigning each person a task within the sections!
I guess we're just waiting on Rebecca. Does anyone want to step up and make a list of the descriptions?
I think that before assign the task it would be better if we all make a list of the task that we can complete.Because maybe you have a book with a blue cover that you want to read but the task with the blue cover is not given to you, but I do not have the blue book and I have the task. It would be stupid if I have to read a blue book that I do not have and you that could have read it easly can't do it because we assigned it differently, is this right?
Maybe with a list of possible task for everyone would be more easy to assign the task. It's this ok for you? Or do you have different adiveces?
I was thinking we could all look at the lists and say hey I have this book can i do this task? and we make a list like that. Sorry if I didn't explain what I meant better lol

Having participated in challenges with specific categories, I've found that this is probably the best way to go. Especially if we have previously planned buddy reads. That way we can read what we want without having to compromise too much.

Great! :)

We were saying the same thing :) Sorry I misunderstood :)
Sooo... we can start and make our lists and then we would see!
I'd really like to read this:Part 1 - The Bride and Groom
1. A couple on the cover
or
4. Book told from a male point of view
5. Book told from a female point of view
7. a blue book (either a book with a blue cover on goodreads, or with 'blue' in the title)
Part 2 - The Ceremony
16. a cover or title portraying your perfect wedding weather,

or
18. Book with a woman or girl on the cover (bridesmaid)

30. a beach or location for a honeymoon (this can either be on the cover, or a location from a book, again, if you want to honeymoon in Narnia that's fine)

Read books whose titles start with the following letters:
F.
O.
E.
V.
Books that I do not own
Part 1 - The Bride and Groom
3. a tiara or veil on the cover
9. make up or Jewellery on the cover (or title)

14. Camera or photograph on the cover
Part 3 - The Reception:
21. Cake (or food)on the cover (or title)
24. champagne or a beverage on the cover (or title)
For the goal that are not written here I can work up something and find a suitable book.
And, also, I do not think that I can read more than 13 books. Maybe I will, in the end, but I do not believe it, at least for now.
I've got one for ring on the cover:
.And
comes out this month, which will cover the tiara.I'm also reading
, which I can use for flowers on cover and
for "something new"
for "Or forever hold your peace",
for love in the title. And for what is probably our hardest category, the books from the wedding list, apparently
works, so I've got that covered.Unsure as to what else I'll read, but that's what i know for now.
I made a list.... then left it in my locker at work.... :( I'll grab it monday night and list on here. I know a few i couldnt find anything i wanted/would read for, like man with suit on cover...
Brooke wrote: "I made a list.... then left it in my locker at work.... :( I'll grab it monday night and list on here. Well, that's great! :)Maybe this evening (I'll have more time in the evening) I'll wrote a message to Rebecca and then I'll try to "assign" the reading, if you want :)
Sooo... I've just written to Rebecca and I've tried to organize the reading. We are completely covered for the first turn and maybe even the second one. if it's ok with you we can try to finish the first round and then we would see again later. And obviously it's just a suggestion and we can change places or reading (and it's just a trial, because we have to see also what Rebecca could read!).
