I am trying to find a book about a boy who finds something and gets into it and when he comes out it has been days. Every one else is older but he has not aged. He continues doing this through out the book. I read it in early 90s but it was not new. Might be even older. Any help would be appreciated.

Sleepers, Wake by Paul Samuel Jacobs?Maybe not, as the boy ages, not everyone else...
It could be that he ages and they don't, but it is not sleepers, wake I'm afraid. I don't remember it being space driven, just more that he found this item and time changes his aging process. He starts missing things.
