SUGGEST BOOKS FOR US TO READ BELOW
- Must have a heroine
- Must be from the Young Adult genre
- Must not already be on our shelves
Since there are only 3 weeks left in this month, I am going to choose 3 books with random.org (2 continuing series & 1 new) as our January reads. Please vote here for our February reads.
Book suggestions: Great new seriesShadowshaper
and Prophecy
Fabulous new stand alone: Everything, Everything
Vengeance Road
Thought I nominated this outstanding book last spring, but evidently I forgot. Shame on me. Vengeance Road is just what this group is all about - a strong fascinating heroine who takes no guff or idiocy from anyone.
Thanks for the suggestions Beverly. I'm adding the books now. :) None of the nominated books had been added to the to-reads list before I became leader. I think they may have been deleted at one point if they were added. So I'm going to go back and find the thread(s) so that I can add some of the books that were nominated before. :)

Instead of nominating books each month for the polls, there will be a slightly new system.
STEP #1: Suggest books below.
- Must have a heroine
- Must be from the Young Adult genre
- Must not already be on our shelves
STEP #2: I'll use random.org to create the polls
- Right before I create the polls, I will make sure all suggestions are in our to-read shelf.
- Using random.org, I will create a poll for continuing series.
- Using random.org, I will create a second poll for new reads. This will be book #1 from a series or stand-alone (not series) books.
STEP #3: You vote
- The top THREE in our "continuing series" poll will be read.
- The top ONE in our "new series/stand-alone" poll will be read.
- This means we will read FOUR books a month.
> If there's a tie, the winner(s) will be picked with random.org
STEP #4: Read & Discuss
- Read as many as you like, or as little as you like.
- It's okay to read them late, of course. Reading is fun, not work.
- Join our discussions on our Books Of The Month folder. If you're looking for older topics from months before, check out our Book Discussions folder or our Archives
