the story is about a girl whose mom is either in rehab or a mental hospital and is sent to live with her older aunt and uncle in their house in a small town where she befriends a poor boy next door, and a homeschooled rich girl who later burns down the school. She also finds out the wealthy grouchy old shut-in lady her aunt takes her too is actually her grandmother. Has anyone heard of this book?

It was a paperback and I think it had a scenery picture on the front. It was set in America in a small town. I can't remember if it was in the north or south, but it was probably somewhere in the Midwest, where these kinds of things always take place. I think the setting was in the 80s or 90. Also, there was a bully in the book whose grandma rode a motorcycle and was friends with the aunt. Not sure if that helps, but I remembered it from the book
