Me too. I might use the idea if y'all don't mind. A girl sees a guy at the coffeehouse with some nefarious fellows, and she sees too much and they want to kill her but he protects her. I like the sound of that.
Okay one order for a character named Maya that doesn't get killed.
Now I have to write it (chewing knuckles).

Ohh write it Danielle!!! and make me an agent please lol or something...you won't even have to pay me when it's in all the bookstores

Work it, Danielle! :-D

:) I don't think I'm worth the effort of an agent right now.

No kidding. That's why stories are so weird.

I think I will. I just need more time in the day. How dare they expect me to work for a living. LOL. :)

I finished Kiss of the Night. The writing, for me, was unbelievably poor (though I can't say I'm surprised), but I liked the main characters. Sometime soon I'll read Night Play and Acheron then that will be enough of Sherrilyn Kenyon for me.
While I take a break from her, I'll listen to The Time Traveler's Wife or The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

Need your Sam & Alyssa fix, eh Arch? Poor you. LOL

Arch, uniform challenge? What's that?

We are starting, well Eugenia already started her challenge. We are writing interracial stories, where the hero, heroine or both wears uniforms. Such as: A Cop, Firefighter, etc.
My story you have been reading Courage is a Royal Challenge. Parris is a prince.
My uniform story will be about a CIA agent.

Haaa! Right! The story writing challenge. Of course! Forgive me, I've drunk a bit too much wine at dinner tonight apparently. The thought had crossed my mind by it didn't stick. lol
Wow, a character in uniform, huh? Hmmm ...
I dunno, I dunno, maybe. I don't know if I have a uniform challenge in me right now. Perhaps I could have done a plain clothes, but a uniform ... that's tough cuz being the perfectionist that I am I'd have to do research and all that. Too much work for me right now.
I've been working on a few stories for the past weeks (a trilogy and a general fiction novel) and they occupy my every thought.
But alas, now that you've planted the seed, my dear Arch, I'll sleep on it and see what I can come up with tomorrow (it's already almost 9:30pm here). In the meantime, I look forward to reading all the stories. I must admit I've not been reading the installments so far. I need to catch up...
Whenever you write something Davina. If you want to share it with me or even on the group, do so. I'll like to read other stories. I've seen Danielle, Rae and Eugenia writing.

I'll try to get an agent named Sharon in there somehow.

I hope you are able to participate, Davina. I'm looking forward to reading your writing.

Arch, all in due course.
As for Kenyon, I promised a friend I'd read Night Play and Archeron before I drop her. No one isn't torturing anyone else.

my all time fav shiekh book was delaney's desert shiek by brenda jackson...that was the best book in the series to me...although i liked the book with tara in it also...
I will probably have to grab book three when I get home. I loved Shadow Touch. Artur was a hero to die for, and Elena was a great heroine. The storyline was very unique and interesting. I loved their connection. All the characters she introduces are intriguing to me. I'm very intrigued with Riptor (is that his name)? SweetT I think you'll like Marjorie Liu.
I believe there's a gargoyle storyline in C.E. Murphy's Negotiator series. She also mixes some awesome Native American mythology in there also (if memory serves correctly).

Sorry about that, SweetT. Yes, I'm picturing Rictor as being very hot! Most of the guys in the Liu books are appealing looking. We definitely like some of the same kinds of books. :)

So, I just finished reading What White Boyz Ride and loved it. Does anyone know of any other IR short story collections?
I am now reading Scream My Name by Kimberly Kaye Terry. This is the second bok I've read from her and that woman is scandalous, I think she is the literary version of early Prince albums.
When are we going to do the next book of the month? I am itching to read something new?

That's in the tbr pile. Have you read Urban Shaman, Rae? It was really good. The heroine is NA/Irish. Cerunnos, the horned god is in it, along with Herne the hunter, and the Wild Hunt. Very good story if you like a mix of Celtic mythology with a dash of Native American folklore.

That's an innovative description of KKT. lol
I've read Pull My Hair by the same author. Didn't like it very much. I found the heroine just a bit too stereotypical. There was actually something off about the whole story, imo. I haven't really been motivated to try her since. How was Scream My Name?

new_user wrote: "I've been kind of iffy about CE Murphy because I would rather read PNR, but I'm going to the lib today anyway. Maybe I'll pick it up."
Well it's not romance, but Cerunnos was definitely digging on her, and there was a little tension between her and her boss.

That is too bad. You might like The Seabird of
Sanematsu. The heroine is Welsh, and the hero is Japanese. I haven't read it but I have it in the tbr.
