Alexis (stayathomereader) | 3 comments It's either a middle grade or an early chapter book. I read it about 10-15 years ago. There were two books in the series. The girl and her parents are street performers in New York City. They are trying to get their big break. The young girl isn't as into acting as her parents are, but she gets cast in a broadway show.
