I made an impulse buy the other day, and ended up getting a guitar. So I've spent time today trying to teach myself how to play by watching youtube videos in between reading. After my dogs started howling, I realized I need the help of a professional. So I scheduled a lesson for next week.

At first, I thought it would be simialr to that movie about Bob Dylan, I'm Not There, in which six different actors play a facet of the singer. In that film, African American actor Marcus Carl Franklin plays a facet of Bob Dylan but keeps calling himself Woody Guthrie.

But it doesn't sound like this MJ film with Joseph Fiennes is that surreal. And I cannot even understand why Fiennes would even think this was a good idea.

Again, here I sit on a Saturday evening/ night wondering when I became such a homebody. I'm eating Krispy Kreme and reading, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. I'm considering socializing with friends later tonight, but the odds are I'll stay home and read.

Sitting at home, having eaten a Swedish pastry called a semla and consumed lots of coffee (yes, in Scandinavia, coffee is our lifeblood), it's 11:52PM and I am in my pyjamas and I have zero interest of doing anything else other than sitting here and watching Saturday Night Live.

OMG! You are so funny! I try to stay away from youtube. Last week, I listened to Drake and Rihanna's new song, and ended up in a loop of courtroom videos. How the two relate is beyond me.

Me too! I love the commercials. My daughter and I cooked hot wings, queso with beef and smokies in the crockpot and now we're just waiting for the game.
