Fantasy for Y try Jane Yolan or: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/4...
The Sorcery Code by Dima Zales, I read it for a previous challenge. It was free on UK kindle.
Drip Drop Teardrop gave my Y. Same price :)
The Dog Who Knew Too Much, technically a detective story but features a talking dog. Gave me Q.
Blood Red Road also Y in a previous, previous challenge.

This gives a list of authors starting with Z, plus links to other letters. They are not genre specific.

Anyway just an idea for next year if the moderators are thinking of doing another challenge :).
Good thinking, shall I open a thread for us to collect ideas. I like ones that don't involve a lot of effort or policing :D
Books mentioned in this topic
The Sorcery Code (other topics)Drip Drop Teardrop (other topics)
The Dog Who Knew Too Much (other topics)
Blood Red Road (other topics)
Rules:
1. Do not include books you read before starting the challenge
2. The challenge letter must be the same as the first letter of the author's last name.
3. Post which book you read for each letter in the correct discussion topic in the A - Z Author Challenge and say whether you enjoyed reading it or not.
4. Books don't have to be read in A - Z order but can be if you want.
5. Feel free to chat or ask questions in this thread but each participant must set up their own thread for their own challenge. I can help with this.
There is no rush to finish the challenge, just read at a pace you enjoy. It is a good way to encourage yourself to try out new authors, or at least vary the authors whose books you read.
Notice I've not stipulated that they must be fantasy genres, this is because we'll struggle to complete it with some letters. Also, I'm trusting you not to cheat!
