I'm in! I'll start my count at the beginning of the year, so I will include one additional author from whom I had already finished a work, but other than that it will all be new reads.
Has anyone tackled some of the tougher letters yet, Q, Y or X especially? I'm hoping to stick with fantasy but it will be rather difficult finding any author starting with X, fantasy or not.

Fantasy for Y try Jane Yolan or: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/4...
The Sorcery Code by Dima Zales, I read it for a previous challenge. It was free on UK kindle.
Drip Drop Teardrop gave my Y. Same price :)
The Dog Who Knew Too Much, technically a detective story but features a talking dog. Gave me Q.
Blood Red Road also Y in a previous, previous challenge.

This gives a list of authors starting with Z, plus links to other letters. They are not genre specific.

Helen, I saw in Margret's A-Z thread that we need a series clean up challenge next as we keep finding so many great series to start (or in my case get waylaid from the A-Z Challenge as I carry on with a new author I've discovered).Anyway just an idea for next year if the moderators are thinking of doing another challenge :).
Good thinking, shall I open a thread for us to collect ideas. I like ones that don't involve a lot of effort or policing :D
Books mentioned in this topic

Rules:
1. Do not include books you read before starting the challenge
2. The challenge letter must be the same as the first letter of the author's last name.
3. Post which book you read for each letter in the correct discussion topic in the A - Z Author Challenge and say whether you enjoyed reading it or not.
4. Books don't have to be read in A - Z order but can be if you want.
5. Feel free to chat or ask questions in this thread but each participant must set up their own thread for their own challenge. I can help with this.
There is no rush to finish the challenge, just read at a pace you enjoy. It is a good way to encourage yourself to try out new authors, or at least vary the authors whose books you read.
Notice I've not stipulated that they must be fantasy genres, this is because we'll struggle to complete it with some letters. Also, I'm trusting you not to cheat!
