Sounds good to me, Tasha. I'm looking forward to reading it. And meeting Uhtred ;)
With the Saxon Series I am just starting to feel like Cornwell is beginning to stretch the series. I mean we flew through history in a short time now Uhtred is old and since he is the narrator I just wonder how many more books here are necessary. I love the series but i don't want 8 more books if the history could be wrapped up in 2

It's fine if they have plenty of story to tell but if they don't, it just feels uncessary.
I agree, Travis. while I'm still enjoying it I habe to admit that I'm surprised the series keeps going.
I just picked up 50 Children: One Ordinary American Couple's Extraordinary Rescue Mission into the Heart of Nazi Germany and The Serpent King for $1.99 each on Kindle. I also went back and picked up The Medium for free thanks to Janice's post. I also just got Everything You Want Me to Be through NetGalley.

I got My Family and Other Animals, a kobo/kindle deal today. I'm excited, I've been wanting to read it for ages! I had no idea it was published back in 1956!! Makes me even more excited. I've read some of these type of books which were set in the 2000s, so to have one without all modern technology in it will be fun.
I caved in to curiosity and bought the Captive Prince trilogy:Captive Prince
Prince's Gambit
Kings Rising
I have been hearing a lot of things about this trilogy, some good, some not so good. It's very polarising so it will be interesting to see how I feel about it.
I need a web site block for amazon! I finally broke down and got a kindle this month. I swear I'm spending more time on amazon than I do sleeping. Oh - thanks Peggy for adding one more book to the list :) I've only bought 10 today, but I've only been there an hour.
Lol jmom :DWhich others did you buy?
I find bookbub and bookgorilla very helpful to find kindle deals :)
Today's additions:I Heart Ed Small
The Children of Húrin
No Rest For The Weary (The Last Time Traveler Book 2)
The Last Time Traveler
The Alchemist's Touch: A Book of Underrealm (The Academy Journals 1)
The Bluebonnet Betrayal: A Potting Shed Mystery
Killer Music: A Cooper Harrington Detective Novel (Cooper Harrington Detective Series Book 1)
Kings and Crusaders: Historical fiction saga about an English family in medieval England during the feudal times of crusaders, knights, and archers following ... Richard (The Company of Archers Book 6)
Lost Cause: A humorous private investigator murder mystery (A Daisy Dunlop Mystery Book 1)
The Novels of Alexander the Great: Fire from Heaven
Poor jmom ; ( It's the curse of of the Kindle! Temptation is only a click away. But think on the bright side. As long as you have your Kindle with you, you carry a whole library in your pocket and always have lots of choices for books to read (in my case about 200). When you find that "block" button, please let me know.
It feels like there's a kindle or kobo deal for a book I have on my wishlist almost every day! I got The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper

The Hidden Relic
The Path of the Storm
The Lore of the Evermen
The Three Sisters
Runic Awakening
Orphan Train
The Girl Who Wrote in Silk
Wool Omnibus
Chosen
Hunted
Shadow Lands
Into the Darkness
A Desperate Fortune
Nice haul jmom! I noticed A Desperate Fortune in one of the emails, thought I owned it already, but apparently I don't. Let's see if that deal is also available here..
I seem to be on a buying spree. I have found a lot of books on sale lately and just keep picking them up. I recently got: For Kindle -
Ebook through NetGalley (free books!)-
and an excerpt from
From Audible -
Physical -
(for when my grandson visits, love this book)All of the Kindle, Audible, and physical purchases were in November. A couple of the NetGalleys might be from the end of October. I'd have to check. I've posted a few of these before, but skipped some, so it was easier to just post them all. Fortunately, they were mostly fairly inexpensive or free.
I also have 11 more audiobooks in my cart that are on sale and I'm trying to decide which to get. I'm not leaving much for Christmas. I think I need to go on a book diet for a while!
So many great books... makes me want to shop so more! I added The Fifth Season bringing my total from the Audible sale to 4.
Haha. That's all of November, so at least not just one purchase. However, it is interesting to see how all of those little sale purchases add up over the month. I bought a lot more than I thought and certainly more than I can read in a couple months. I'm going to have to be more aware. I am really excited to read some of them though.
I picked up a Kindle daily deal this morning - Serena for $1.99.Kristie, I keep looking at my to-read and to-listen-to shelves which are supposed to dwindle in size, not swell. There were a whack of books I wanted to get with the Cyber Monday sales, but I decided not to indulge. I keep wanting to change my mind though.
Oh, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals kill me. I just picked up The Perfume Collector for $1.99. I'm trying to get mostly items that I already have on my TBR. Of course, my TBR is huge...
I saw The Death of Dulgath available as a paperback again, so I ordered it. Not sure if I will get it this time, as it has a quite long delivery time and it had no picture with it. I also got Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Set: The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages. I have them all on my ereader but I think I prefer to read them as real books.
I've been shopping! Unbroken
The Queen's Poisoner
The Thief's Daughter
The King's Traitor
Take Me with You
My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises
These are all Kindle Deals. The Kingfountain series were $2.00 each.
Peggy wrote: "I saw The Death of Dulgath available as a paperback again, so I ordered it. It's now available again on Amazon so I have just ordered it, it's due to arrive early next week.
I also preordered the paperback of Age of Myth: Book One of the Legends of the First Empire
Lisa wrote: "Peggy wrote: "I saw The Death of Dulgath available as a paperback again, so I ordered it. Not sure if I will get it this time, as it has a quite long delivery time and it had no pic..."Oh yes, I noticed that too! It's set for Jan 31 here. I'll also preorder it soon.
Peggy wrote: "Lisa wrote: "Peggy wrote: "I saw The Death of Dulgath available as a paperback again, so I ordered it. Not sure if I will get it this time, as it has a quite long delivery time and ..."It's set for Jan 31st here too. Let's hope there are no hold ups this time!
I saw this on the Nook Shopping list from Barnes & Nobel last night for $3.99 and could not pass it up! Happy People Read and Drink Coffee
I also bought
.
Lisa, my Death of Dulgath copy has arrived! (it's still at the pick-up point and I can't get it until Sunday, but it's here!). I guess yours should arrive without problems too this time :)
I bought The Game of Kings for my Kindle. I was going to get it in paperback but then I saw the price. £18.99! So I settled for the Kindle book instead.
I just bought book 2 in a series (although I've not read book 1 yet) as it was a kindle deal. Sword of the North. I think I'll like the series though. It has lots of good reviews.
I just bought The Last Wish as it was only 99p. It has been on my wishlist for a while though so I'm happy. Another first in a series.
As I am currently reading (and really enjoying) the first book in the Lymond Chronicles, I decided to go ahead and purchase the rest of the series. They are all Kindle books:Queens' Play
The Disorderly Knights
Pawn in Frankincense
The Ringed Castle
Checkmate
I also picked up a guide to the series:
The Ultimate Guide to Dorothy Dunnett's The Game of Kings
I've just bought The Hero of Ages so i can read it straight after i finish book 2. Going to read the trilogy back to back then have a break before coming back to the other books in the series.
I returned the mistborn book i bought yesterday and then rebought it as it was only 99p today. I also bought The Alloy of Law, Shadows of Self and The Bands of Mourning. They were all either 99p or £1.99. I also bought Words of Radiance. Just to show I'm not Sanderson obsessed i also bought Sword of Destiny, Blood of Elves, The Time of Contempt, and Baptism of Fire from The Witcher series. All were 99p. So i bought loads of books for £10 whereas yesterday, i only had 1 book for pretty much that price. I'm pleased i checked. I very rarely benefit from kindle deals but today I've hit jackpot.
I also bought Mistborn books 4, 5 and 6, seeing as they were really cheap on kindle:The Alloy of Law
Shadows of Self
The Bands of Mourning
Santa bought me 3 books for Christmas:Thin Air
Himself
The Greatest Knight: The Remarkable Life of William Marshal, The Power Behind Five English Thrones
