Chapter 21: (view spoiler)[ Holy crap, that was insane. So, were the soldiers really the Others? I know it was mentioned that they look like humans so that's the most likely answer, right? So the waves were the electromagnetic pulse, the illness, and the tsunamis.. so was the 4th wave that the Others mixed in with the humans? I'm still struggling to understand what each wave was. Chapter 30: (view spoiler)[ I found part 1 a bit all over the place since it's jumping from the present back to the past. I found part 2 quite interesting, though. So that I'm thinking that the thing at the beginning with the mother and her child was about the aliens secretly planting whatever it is in the unborn child's brain so when the time comes those humans can be used. These aliens are really clever! I have a bad feeling about that whole organization, though. I mean, what reason did they have for killing everyone at Cassie's camp? I also found it a bit annoying that I didn't know the boy in part 2's name until the last sentence. (hide spoiler)]

I've finished Part 1 and I have to say I am not loving this. I've found it quite confusing as the story keeps flicking from the past and the present. I feel that things haven't been particularly well explained and I am hoping we will get more of an explanation in the second part.

I'm not really enjoying the book. A lot of it is easy to foreshadow. It built up nicely but now I'm struggling to flip pages. Soon I'll feel like just reading dialogue. I hope it gets better.

Am I the only one that thinks Cassie makes stupid decisions? its hard to read a book where I am constantly thinking, why...why would she do that? Why doesn't she do this, like shoot?

I'm just so frustrated with her.

Ok so I don't know what all the hype was about the book. I'm done and have no what to read any other book it he series. I got sick of all the different perspectives. sometimes I didn't even know who was speaking.

I am also really enjoying some of the references. The author keeps talking about places near where I live. I had no idea that this book would be talking about places near me or where I have been. This, of course, makes me a little bias about this book.

Chapter 71: (view spoiler)[ I'm quite bored, really. I waited to long to pick this up because I wasn't very interested in it, which doesn't happen to me very often with sci-fi. It wasn't holding my attention a couple months ago and I gave it a break hoping that I'd enjoy it better. I'm still not liking it and will probably end up rating it 1 or 2 stars. I hope there ends up being some sort of huge surprising plot twist ending or a cliffhanger otherwise there's no chance I'll pick up the second book. (hide spoiler)]
