I really enjoyed The Thursday Next Chronicles by Jasper Fforde. Now I'm kind of stumped for another book for this challenge. I'll have to think creatively.
My book club is doing The Mother-Daughter Book Club. It is due the middle of January...so, this will be one of my first to get done. I recommend, however, Murder in the Paperback Parlor and Murder in the Mystery Suite. Both take place in a town that is all about BOOKS. A place I wish existed. The resort is all about reading, and books....but, it also has a little twist.
I am going to be reading "Mr. Penumbra's 24- Bookstore" by Robin Sloan. I have owned this for awhile and was happy we had this category so I could finally get it read!
Have not decided what I'm reading for this yet but I can higly recommend 84, Charing Cross Road. The Shadow of the Wind would also fit this category.
I had chosen If on a Winter's Night a Traveller but when I realized it was published the year I graduated from high school I put it in that category ... so for this category I will read The Novel Cure: From Abandonment to Zestlessness: 751 Books to Cure What Ails You

Winter sounds interesting. I had to laugh at the title of "The Novel Cure".
I recommend1.The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry
2.The Thirteenth Tale
3.The Book Thief
Loved all three.
If someone is looking for a Novella:
The Uncommon Reader
not my favorite
Other options from my TBR:
1.The Borrower
2.The Historian
3.The Bookman’s Tale
4.The Little Paris Bookshop
5.Book Scavenger
6.The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap: A Memoir of Friendship, Community, and the Uncommon Pleasure of a Good Book
7.Sixpence House: Lost in a Town of Books
8.The Heroine's Bookshelf: Life Lessons, from Jane Austen to Laura Ingalls Wilder
as well as several mentioned above.

I also LOVED The Thirteenth Tale and The Book Thief.
Oh I just remembered The Mysterious Disappearance of the Reluctant Book Fairy is a nice little novella.I'm still trying to decide what I'll read for this category, I have a few of the suggestions on my kindle already so I'll probably read one of those.
I'm currently about 1/3 of the way through The Blind Assassin, wondering if that counts. Not quite a book about books like Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, or The Book Thief. It's about a specific book instead (novel within a novel (within a novel)). Any thoughts on whether I should count that here or for a different category?
My shortlist: The Book Thief because it has been in my kindle for ages.
Book bloggers and other people I follow have recommended:
How To Be a Heroine by Samantha Ellis. I think this is non-fiction.
The Bookseller by Cynthia Swanson, gorgeous cover, by the way
Blood, Ink and Fire by Ashley Mansour
The Angel's game which is part of the trilogy The Cemetery of Forgotten Books by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
The Club Dumas by Arturo Perez Reverte. This is a contemporary Spanish writer, very very popular and I happen to have a lot of his books in the Spanish edition as my husband likes him very much but I have never read any of his books
I would also suggest the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde. The books are based in an alternate reality of London where there is an entire Special Ops team devoted to Literacy crimes. The first book, "The Eyre Affair", involves characters from books coming in to our world and vice versa. The books are humorous without being over the top. They have a similar vibe to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and the other books by Douglas Adams.
I enjoyed the first book and I'm currently reading the second one in the series.
@Amanda, Oh, gosh, I love that series!!!! I think I've read them all. Great fun! Madcap, crazy fun, and I would also describe them like The Hitchhiker's guide......
I just finished The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu: And Their Race to Save the World’s Most Precious Manuscripts I felt I was reading a mistery-thriller novel not a Non-fiction book. It's very interesting and is an eye opener about the richness and culture past of this region
I'll be reading Carlos Ruiz Zafon's La sombra del viento (The Shadow of the Wind). "One morning in 1945, a boy is taken by his father to a mysterious spot hidden in the heart of the ancient city: The Cemetery of Forgotten Books" ...where he is to choose a book which he is to protect, and which will change the course of his life. How can I resist? Many many 5-star GR reviews and many 1-star, not much in between!

I chose 84, Charing Cross Road for this task. I had high expectations for this book, based on numerous 4 & 5 star ratings, and I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed. It was a quick easy read and I finished it in about 2 hours, but it did not captivate me.
