Lorna | 8 comments Hello,

I've been a member of goodreads for a few years now but never actually fully discovered the potential of this amazing site.

I'm currently a stay at home Mum living in the south of England, since having my daughter, sitting down and reading a book quietly has been a bit of a challenge and to be honest netflix has also hampered any chance of getting engrossed in a good book in the evening.

Zaz | 2969 comments Welcome :)

I really liked The Rest of Us and Big Little Lies is one of my 2015 favorites!
I'll read I am Legend for the same week, I hope we'll enjoy it :)

Saara (lamiena) | 86 comments Oooh, you've got quite a few books here that I either really like or really want to read :D Wide Sargasso Sea might be a bit difficult to get into despite its shortness, but it's worth it. Jane Austen Book Club is great, though I may or may not like the movie adaptation more in some ways. I read Little Women way, way long ago as a translation, I really need to read it again in English; recently bought a very pretty edition, too. As for Agatha Christie, I read my first novel from her earlier this year and fell in love with Miss Marple.

Saara (lamiena) | 86 comments Haha, I have the advantage of a really important deadline on Thursday. I don't have time to read for pleasure before the year turns!

Lorna | 8 comments OK, confession time, i've just read my week 1 book and finished it, I only started yesterday.

It was a great book, a nice easy read but in the spirit of the challenge i'm going to choose another week 1 book. Not sure yet i'll go through my kindle and see what I downloaded this year.

Ha! I'm trying not to get ahead of things but I've already started two of mine. I'm in no danger of finishing either of them today, but if I stay up into the wee hours, I might finish one tomorrow!!!

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3287 comments Big Little Lies was a great book, definitely one of the best I read last year. I was surprised too. I'd read The Hypnotist's Love Story by the same author earlier in the year, and although I liked it, I wasn't a huge fan. But Big Little Lies grabbed me right from the start
