Apprentice in Death (Spoiler Zone)
I can't wait to get my hands on the new one! No matter what I'm reading, I put it down and read the In Death straight through. I'm such a huge fan of this series!
When does it come out, Jonetta?Does Robb get her ideas from new that happened today. I got to thinking that maybe Robb got the idea for McQueen's girls from Ariel Castro, however that happened two years later, but Jaycee Dugard happened in 2009 (New York to Dallas was published in 2011) Wasn't there another one in Austria or Switzerland about that time?
Release date is September 6.
There was a similar case in Austria. I can't remember the particulars.

Busy re-reading every In Death book I can get my hands on to keep my mind off of my crazy anticipation for Apprentice! Only 4 more months! LOL
I am also re-reading for the 4th time the series. I am on #30, I think, Fantasy in Death. Hopefully I will be caught up again in Sept, before the new one is released.

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one going nuts waiting for this next book. I'm re-reading the series too-just finished Thankless in Death this morning.

Proof we're addicted! We get at least 2 books a year, plus novellas. Imagine being addicted to authors with more time between books! May the 4th Be With You!

Thank you Jonetta for the great sneak peek! Just read it. Ooooh, it's going to be good.....scary, a total suspense thriller.
I am going on a trip soon and I so wish this book was out during that time. It would be a great way to pass time while traveling. I am excited to read this though so looking forward looking how she will take this story and solve it.

There is just my husband and 2 cats. The hubster works 12 hour days a lot and the cats spend most of the day outside. I get plenty of uninterrupted reading time. Even more at night as I have a difficult time falling asleep,
I have gotten my mom interested in Eve and the gang. I know she has all the books to Memory. When she tells me she has finished I get her the next bunch. I will have to tell her to DL this one. It sounds so good

It's so good; who should live without Eve and Roarke in their lives, right? They just don't know what they are missing...
I have been doing a complete re-listen to this series (as opposed to randomly listening to my favorites), and recently completed NY2D, the 41st book in the series. It occurred to me that that was the first new book I read after I became obsessed with this series. Now we are approaching number 54 this week with Apprentice. I must say I am damned glad she didn't stop with the trilogy. Oh and for audiobook listeners, this is on sale for $9.59 which is less than a credit. Not sure if it is just for pre-orders,Mobutu I didn't take the chance.

Sheri wrote: "Ugh I have to wait until Thursday to get it. my boyfriend is getting me the book when he gets paid"
Something to look forward to, Sheri! :)
I'm actually finishing up a couple of other reads before I start it myself.

Just put my hold on this from the library. Anxiously awaiting the email that it is ready to be downloaded for my Kindle!
when i go to Amazon and try and purchase for Kindle, it says it is not available in that format, but, every other format, does anyone know why?
I'm waiting for the email from the library to tell me it's ready to be picked up. I'm first in line.
There's a post on the J. D. Robb Facebook page saying there's a problem with the Kindle download. They don't know why and the last update was at 8:45 am. They are checking with the publisher.

The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park’s ice skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be.
Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD, but never one like this. After reviewing security videos, it becomes clear that the victims were killed by a sniper firing a tactical laser rifle, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled. And though the locations where the shooter could have set up seem endless, the list of people with that particular skill set is finite: police, military, professional killer.
Eve’s husband, Roarke, has unlimited resources—and genius—at his disposal. And when his computer program leads Eve to the location of the sniper, she learns a shocking fact: There were two—one older, one younger. Someone is being trained by an expert in the science of killing, and they have an agenda. Central Park was just a warm-up. And as another sniper attack shakes the city to its core, Eve realizes that though we’re all shaped by the people around us, there are those who are just born evil...
