Savanes | 2107 comments This is a question for ebook readers' lovers!
I got a new kindle for Christmas. YAY! I already had one and I was wondering whether to keep my way of organizing stuff on my kindle or not.

So how do you keep your kindle organized (or other ebooks readers).

Matthew (funkygman007) | 121 comments I keep my organized by genre - which is probably a bit subjective

message 3: by Savanes (new)

Savanes | 2107 comments I do that too and I have a currently reading and an ASAP folder. Just to make sure I don't forget a book I really really want to read.

I have no idea how to organize my Kindle. I'm not even sure it's an option on my device. Basically, I can list them all by most recent, title, or (I think) by author name. I just keep them alphabetized by title.

Tracy Marie (whatawhimsicallife) I utilize the "Collections" feature , on my Fire, that is available. On my kindle keyboard I have something very similar to what you are doing Matthew.

Kelly-ann Boyne | 0 comments The collections option really works and you can name the collection as you like... Like I have a TBR_Fiction and a TBR_non -Fiction folder similar to the ASAP folder mentioned above. Happy organizing love!

Tracy Marie (whatawhimsicallife) I have a lot of mine organized by author too. I like seeing all my Charlaine Harris books all in one folder, but you are right, I would like to see a folder for my planned 2016 reading...at least the ones I've already bought.

message 8: by Savanes (new)

Savanes | 2107 comments The ASAP folder is good except when you keep adding stuff to it. I ended up with three ASAP folders last year.
I think the planned 2016 reading is a brilliant idea and I will also create a GCAC collection for the yearly challenge. :)

Angela M I love the ability to create collections on my Kindle Paperwhite. Since I read quite a few ARCs from NetGalley and Edelweiss, I have a collections fir those . I also have collections for classics ( that I hope to get to one day) , a maybe later file for a few books I want to reread or a few I bought and am not in a hurry to get to. I have over 70 other books and I want to fit some of those in between ARCs next year so I may pick some titles from those and create another collection and call it tbr 2016.

Where do you find organize on yourckindle

The menu on mine lets me create collections. Then, If I click the right arrow when I have a title selected, it gives me the option to add it to a collection. It may be different depending on your model. I have a Kindle Fire, too, but I have never tried to make collections on it.

Good luck!

Tracy Marie (whatawhimsicallife) It has to be the new kindle fire HD. I have two Kindle Fire HD's, but the first one I get is the 1st addition, and it doesn't get the updates, but the 2nd one does. It is a thinner Kindle fire HD. It also links and plays well with Goodreads.

That's so cool! Goodreads supposedly works with Kindle paperwhite but it's not operational in France. Grrrrr

Gale (goodreadscomglredw) | 22 comments It worked for me fugured it out

message 19: by Angela M (new)

Angela M Savanes , I can access Goodreads from my Kindle paper white but the functionality is not very good . Being able to connect to GR was one of the reasons I upgraded to this from my previous kindle . It was a disappointment and I just don't use it .

Savanes | 2107 comments that's too bad!

Savanes | 2107 comments Enter the collection, click the menu icon (top right), there should be something like "rename collection".
