I know the title is Cat Scratch Fever, the cover was black and had embossed scratches on it, and the book was about a woman who got scratched by a cat and developed powers. It was in a modern setting (possibly 80's-90s), and there was something about a fire, or arson. I can't find this book for the life of me and it's something I read when I was around twelve- but it's not a childrens book.
