Oh, yes. Loved that one, Sue...and that series. I bought them all on audio, but I've yet to re-read them via my ears. Although...I think I listened to that last one. Hmmm. I'd have to check.

It's funny this series was quite good, but I haven't always been enchanted by this writer. So maybe the material match my mood.
Started Lord of Darkness
book 5 of the Maiden Lane series. Ashford McNab isn't narrating this one and I can only hope Emma Taylor does a decent job. Update: Just a quick update, Emma Taylor isn't Ashford McNab, the male voices are so... not good, female are fine. Glad it's a library copy and I didn't buy it.

I just finished
which was another stellar Rainbow Rowell book. Now, I'm reading
, which is a historical fiction novel, book two of the Poldark series. And, I found this freebie on Wattpad,
, by Colleen Hoover, which, I LOVE HER, so of course I had to read it, which I'm very happy with right now, about 50 or 60% done with it.
I finished two audiobooks this week. Both are books that I read years ago and wanted to revisit.First I finished
Duncan's Bride by Linda Howard. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I completed
The Secret by Julie Garwood. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also read
cOut of Control by Suzanne Brockmann. Another winner in her Troubleshooters series. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A new listen to an old read, The Lion's Lady
I absolutely adored this series in print and Susan Duerden did a fine job with the narration. Also finished Not Quite a Lady
which was excellent as well. Now just finishing up
Duke of Midnight
I just finished a great cozy-mystery. Mug Shot
by Caroline Fardig.My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I loved Written in Red so much that I'm having a hard time getting into my currently reading books. Which I thought were safe choices, since I usually enjoy these series. I finished Written in red on Friday, and have spent almost 5 days reading these 2 books now. Usually I finish a book every other day or so.

Anita wrote: "I loved Written in Red so much that I'm having a hard time getting into my currently reading books."Yes, easy to get caught up in that series. I just love it, Anita.
Oh, I grabbed all the audios in that last series, ShoSho. A couple were on sale. I've only read the first one, though. Would love to get back to the series... though, I don't know how the author could do better than that first book. **sigh**

I just finished "Open Season" by CJ Box. Loved it!! It's a series about a Wyoming Game Warden Joe Pickett solves crimes above and beyond duty.
ShoSho wrote: "I felt the same when I finished written in red! Do you have the next book in the series?"No I don't have the next books in the series on hand. I'm considering getting physical copies of them all since I loved it so much. If so I'll have to wait a month or two before I can buy them because of economical situations, and books in Denmark are just not as cheap as anywhere else.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Both good books, Rosemarie. JG is one of my favorite authors."Good to hear; the last few books I tried have been clunker dnfs

Book #2 is going great it started out with a big bang, literally!A cow exploded in the forest killing 2 people and 10 more cows!
Great mystery. I'm trying to get all in series but because of tight money (I'm retired) only can get 3 or 4 used a month. Amazon has used books for $.01 then $3.99 S&H Back to reading :-)

That is why I rely on my Goodreads friends and their reviews, especially for authors I haven't read before. With the ARC's I read for new authors, I try to write a true review and If I like the author, support them.
So, I had to finally lay this book to rest. I just could NOT get into it after about 30%. It was awful to me.
( I REALLY wanted to like this book too because I love Lauren Graham as an actress). Now that I am done wasting my time with that, I'm off to read

I've only read the first two of that series but really love it so far :)
Just finished up
, which I think has been my favorite of this series so far. And, I have a few pages of
left. I really enjoy this series too. This is the second book of this series. It's a historical fiction. It takes some time to read them, as they are kind of long, but worth it in the end. Also, I just started
yesterday. This book is different, but I like it so far.
Rosemarie wrote: "I am reading
Elizabeth Hoyt I am liking it better than book #2 of Maiden Lane series."The series gets better with each book.

Good to hear!
I finished
and started on a novella
It is a mystery- not my usual genre but I thought I would give it a try. It has my interest. Next up will be
a pirate novel. I am waiting on
from the library.
Listening to a writer that I've seen popup many times on this thread, just wanted to see if it's worth the fuss and to use my kindle unlimited a bit.. been lax, paying for a service I don't use enough.Georgette Heyer, narrated by Phylida Nash both are new to me.
