For historical romance, this is my current favorite 'go-to' author. Mary Balogh's books are filled with romance, passion, complexity and emotion. I've yet to read anything by her I did not enjoy!

I've had that series on my radar for the longest time, Anita. It looks soooooo good. However, at one time I noticed the eBook and the audiobook were so much more expensive than average; and my libraries don't carry them. Every now and then I look at it again. Guess it's time to do so again.

Rosemarie, regarding . That one actually comes first in the Immortals After Dark series, but it wasn't one of my favs. In fact, I didn't realize for a couple years that I had read that one first in an anthology and thought it was just okay. But A Hunger Like No Other knocked my socks off, and I didn't realize it was part of the Immortals After Dark series. Some people consider TWWF as #1 and some AHLNO, hense the confusion on numbering on GRs. **shrugs** However, I hope you continue with the series! I think it's worth it.

Since I live in California I can borrow any e-book from any library in the state. I also have a Houston, TX library card. I usually can get any book I want, I just have to look for it. Try a larger library system in your state, one that uses Overdrive for their e-books.

Sometimes it pays to put the time into the research. I've fount that City of Los Angeles has the largest e-book collection through Overdrive and they have been buying everything I've recommended so far.

I loved every book in that series and finished it at the beginning of last year, I think...

Another good one is the Fool's Gold series by Susan Mallery. That one is another "Small-Town" contemporary romance series. I still say Virgin River is my favorite though :)

I enjoyed them all. My favorite reads of those however was Conspiracy in Death, Once Burned and Iron Crowned. All solid 5 star reads for me :)
