Rut 4 - 8? That's really optimistic!
I'll try these books:

1) Die Seiten der Welt At the beginning I wasn't sure where the story would lead me but I was intrigued by the world (It's a book about books, book lovers and book magic) and then I started to get hooked and can't wait to read the sequel.

2) Marina I liked it. I liked the mystery and I love Zafón's style even though he seems to think that mutilation, fire and acid are prerequisites for a good novel. The end was sad but I kind of expected it.

3) Hunters in the Snow

4) El Ultimo Secreto de Frida K. This one is hard (and it's not just the fact that it's in Spanish and it takes me more time to read than English or German books). I'm almost half-way through (202/455) but I don't really like it. Judging from the title and the description you would think that it has a lot to do with Frida Kahlo or at least the hunt for one of her missing painting but it's mostly about a group of Mexican drug dealers killing prostitutes at random (well, THAT's an innovative idea), a stereotypical, boring police man who dislikes the private investigator looking for the painting by Frida and public prosecutor who gets tattooed...
It didn't get better. Very little Frida Kahlo, a lot of annoying characters. Some sub plots that could have been interesting were mentioned once, then neglected for hundreds of pages and were then stuffed into the end without any real relevance to the main plot.

5) Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (I've added a 5th book because I'm getting on very well. edit 26/1/16, well, I won't finish this one)
