Backstage Pass 1/25 ★ ★ ★ (tbr)
A Beautiful Lie 1/29 ★ ★ ★ ★ (new)
Both new books that I probably wouldn't have read were 4 stars - so thanks for the great picks.
Hey MountainKat! I've gotten to quite a few of your picks this month. This is how they've shaken out...
Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage -- what a great series! I had the first one audio for forever before I actually read it. And you gave me the push to continue the series. I'm so glad I did. This one held the same magic as the first. I got so lost in Angela Dawe's story telling it was amazing! I'm definitely looking forward to the next one in the line up. These MacKenzies are something else!
Naked Edge -- So, wow! I'm two for two so far this month! This was awesome! Just utter perfection. Definitely my favorite of the series so far and my favorite book of the year (so far). Loved Kat and Gabe, and this got me reenergized to get back into the series. Thanks for the push!
What You Need -- So this was totally different than Rough Riders, but I liked it all the same. I really enjoyed meeting the Lund family and can't wait to see the other family stories.
Twisted -- Ok, so I didn't like this one as much as I liked Tangled. I was so pissed off that these two didn't learn their lessons the first time around and made essentially the same mistake AGAIN! I rolled my eye a lot during the misunderstanding. The ending was pretty good though.
Always on My Mind -- Oh my goodness, I LOVED this one! I was a little nervous. I didn't think I would like it. I was so sure of Lori, but this book has become my favorite of the series so far. I'm looking forward to continuing on to the Seattle Sullivans now.
It Happened One Wedding -- Such a good one. I loved Sydney and Vaughn. No matter how hard they fought it, you knew they were destined to be together. Definitely a great addition to the series. I read this one out of order, but I'm glad it didn't make much of a difference. Unfortunately though the next one doesn't come out until 2017!
The Year We Hid Away -- I know you haven't read this series yet, Kat, but do it soon. This one was amazing! It ripped my heart out a bit, but it worked out in the end. I love the fact that this author makes these characters that one surface are one thing but deep down are something so much more. She just draws me in. I was only supposed to read a couple of chapters and then ended up reading the whole book!
Cowboy Take Me Away -- You were so right. I LOVED this one. It was done so differently but I loved the glimpses we got over Carson and Carolyn's life during their 50 years together. So sweet. I've always loved Carolyn, even when I thought she was being too overprotective of her boys, but I didn't really understand Carson that well. Had no idea he had all that going on under the surface.
Taken with You -- Such cute romance. I had gotten away from this series for a while, but getting back to it reminded my why I enjoy this author's romances so much. Thanks for the push to get back into them.
Tied with Me -- This was such a great addition to this series. I really love this family. Loved that Matt had a little bit of kink in him. I was just so upset with Nick for taking his decisions away when things got real. I'm glad that Matt's mom smacked some sense into her stubborn head. I will definitely be continuing with this series.
Judgment in Death -- What can you say about Eve Dallas and Roarke? I really loved this one. I loved that Eve showed more vulnerability. She always seems so fierce. I enjoy the way that even though the formula stays the same, I never feel like the story is the same. And we get more bits and pieces of this couple. I can't wait to see what'll happen next. There were only a few I didn't get to this month (rusty nailed and how to seduce a naked vampire are both still on hold at the library), but I put them on my TBR for sure! Thanks so much for the great picks!!

Sassafrass wrote: "Hey MountainKat! I've gotten to quite a few of your picks this month. This is how they've shaken out..."OMG - You were busy this month!! I am so glad you liked so many of them!
I do have The Year We Fell Down on Mt. TBR, I didn't pick it in the M&G because I'm trying to finish up series before starting more new ones, but I've only heard good things so it will be coming up soon! And I did think that Twisted was the weakest of the series so you don't have to give up on them yet!
Hi Breann! I've been busy reading and haven't come back here to update - but I did read quite a few of your picks! What Happens At Christmas by Jay Northcote - 1.5.16 - Super sweet holiday story!
Divided in Death by J.D. robb - 1.6.16 - Love Eve and Roarke! I do love listening to their stories!
The Mane Squeeze by Shelly Laurenston - 1.13.16 - So much fun, I listened to the audio and I think it made it even better!
Wrapped and Strapped by Lorelei James - 1.14.16 - So good, I just can't resist her cowboys!
Taxes and TARDIS by N.R. Walker - 1.16.16 - This was just about perfect for me!
All I Want by Jill Shalvis - 1.16.16 - Wonderful, but the animal stole the show - like the usually do in this series!
Blood Kiss by J.R. Ward - 1.21.16 - I enjoyed this a lot and am looking forward to seeing where she takes this.
The Promise by Robyn Carr - 1.30.16 - Her books are like comfort food for me, they always make me feel good! So nice to see real people dealing with real life sometimes. =)
Thank you so much for the awesome picks! I've added several of the new ones to my TBR too!
Hi Jody, I managed to finish my second book this month and it was really good:
. I have been wanting to start this series for a while, so thanks for the nudge to get to it. I also started my third pick,
but didn't get it done by month's end. Thank again for such good picks.
Hi Eden,My library was extra slow this month, but I did actually manage to get one more of your picks read on the 31st. I read
