Task 7: Read a Dystopian or Post-Apocalyptic Novel

I did read the first of The Testing Trilogy and really would like to read the second and third! I think this trilogy with be finished this year!

Oh I love this book and the film

I finished that book last October and I'm still thinking about it!

I was also going to recommend this series! It's one of my favorites (although I love anything by Atwood). I've read so many dystopian novels, it's going to take me a while to find one to fit this task!
Gotta be Station Eleven for me. I'd recommend J and The Girl with All the Gifts from my reading this year. Also, for an excellent YA series of dystopia, Gone etc. by Michael Grant.

Oh, yes! Never Let Me Go was beautiful (and can also be used for your "movie" book!)

Oh great shout! I've not read it either... Now I'm torn too!

I'll be reading Seveneves for this challenge. Anybody struggling to find a book, it seems pretty much anything Neal Stephenson has written would work. Snow Crash was especially good.

Never let me go is one of my favourite books of all time. I'd recommend if you haven't given it a go

Oh, how I wish I could read The Handmaid's Tale for the first time again. I adore that book!
I'm leaning towards Station Eleven or The Girl With All the Gifts for myself.

If you've read Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent, and/or Matched, you will like this series.

One of the reasons I enjoyed it so much was that I had no idea what it was about going in: I was expecting some kind of straight-up YA, based on the cover, so got a kick out of the surprise. It was also very different to the other books I'd been reading around the time. I haven't read any of the other books you mentioned so perhaps this wouldn't have stood up so well if I'd read it knowing those. I thought there were some great set-pieces and it was much better than I would expect a [SPOILER?] 'zombie' novel to be - especially having read The Maze Runner Series earlier this year... Having said that, I did go back and alter my rating from 5 to 4 stars after calming down a bit.
PS I didn't audiobook it: I read a paperback copy on the bus/walk to work in the mornings. This was in November and I travel between 6am and 7am so dark, cold, a bit misty, not many people around. Added a lot of great atmosphere!
