Really curious as to why Ezra and Kady broke up. It wasn't super clear - especially considering they were focusing more on the attack from... some corporation?

(view spoiler)[I'm really not sure how I feel about this so far xD it seems to read a bit like a case file before it's finished being calibrated and organised; a culmination of different information from different mediums all pulled together to try and tell a single story. It's interesting (I think...) but I'm also having a really hard time keeping track of things and the fact that things are written more as reports etc makes it harder to know who is who (aside from Kady and Ezra) as you don't really learn any of their background - they're just suddenly THERE and may or may not be important. I'm kinda lost to be honest .-.

On the bright side though, the drawings of the ships were neat ;D (hide spoiler)]

I felt exactly the same way the first time around and wanted to read it again so I could put all the pieces together. I first read it in April 2016 and I have to admit the reread was even better as I expected.

AIDEN brought online, Lincoln slowed but not defeated, AIDEN killing off all the superior officers on the Alexander as well as the only ones who could possibly take it back offline (I think... it's not 100% confirmed that Byron is dead?) by essentially released rabid PTSD zombies into the general population... some of the population has survived to escape the Alexander for refuge on the Hypatia only to be freaking LAUNCHED INTO THE VACUUM OF SPACE because they're potentially infected and Ezra's still hiding out on the Alexander... I mean seriously wtf is going on. What is happening here? Where is this all leading? I'm assuming Kady will save Ezra but WOW there is just so much going on at once @_@ (hide spoiler)]

Managed to essentially take on an entire ship of zombies (well close-to-zombies :P) with no help save an AI to reroute an entire ship's systems in order to take on ANOTHER suicide mission to destroy the ever approaching villains and help save as many of her fellows passengers (who she helped escape) as possible and now she's doing a bait and switch... without the switch part. That is gonna be one big explosion. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Okay WOW. I really wasn't a huge fan of this book at the beginning. I wasn't sure how to feel about the overall tone of the novel, and the way things were pieced together was initially really confusing and I had a seriously hard time keeping up with what was happening but holy CRAP. By the time you're finished? Absolutely PHENOMENAL. Everything somehow actually pieces together from this seeming giant convoluted mess into something that just takes your breath away.

So many of those small things from earlier actually make sense to me now and just... WOW

So glad that Ezra is alive, and I'm seriously shocked that Kady made it out of there in one piece - and with AIDAN no less. And that Ezra's Mom may have been behind the whole mess in the first place? I'm completed shaken by all of this.

So SO good. I need to read the next one stat :|
