Lahni | 660 comments Does an invisible man read invisible books?? Check in here and I'll pick a book for you.... digital, audio, or even old fashioned paper!

Julinda | 35 comments Hi Lahni, I just threw a 10 and landed on your property They Invisible Man. Can you please choose two books from my shelf for me to choose from? Thanks.

message 3: by Lahni (new)

Lahni | 660 comments Hi Julinda! Sorry I'm a bit pokey responding! I chose these books because I enjoyed then both.

The Thirteenth Tale
People of the Book

message 4: by Julinda (new)

Julinda | 35 comments That's ok Lahni, I actually requested a new book before I had finished because it's such a busy time of the year and I knew I was relying on one person. As I have just read The Thirteenth Tale (it was chosen for me as my second read) I will read People of the Book. I enjoyed Year of Wonders so hopefully I will enjoy this book as much. Thanks again, good choice.

Lahni | 660 comments I just read that last month and loved it! Let me know what you think when you are done.

Ross | 21 comments Hello Lahni,

I just landed on your space and was wondering if you would mind choosing three books from my list for me?

Bookopoly

Thank you in advance

Ross

message 10: by Lahni (new)

Lahni | 660 comments Here you go, Ross. I went with a fire theme:

Catching Fire
The Girl Who Played with Fire
Fahrenheit 451

You have a great book list!

message 11: by Ross (new)

Ross | 21 comments Nice, I like how you went for a theme. I have decided to go for The Girl Who Played With Fire. The reason is I read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fairly recently and it is still fresh(ish) in my mind. Also my wife is currently reading our copy of Fahrenheit 451.

Thanks again on your awesome decisions and I really like your profile pic.

Lahni | 660 comments Here you go, Bea:
Both of these have made my short list of all time favorites

Lahni, I think I will go for Magic Study as it is the shortest book chosen and will go toward this month's shelf as well. I also have it down for Moving Mountains, so it will help with a couple of challenges.

Lahni | 660 comments Sure Marina!

Son because it's always nice to finish off a series
The Invisible Man well for obvious reasons!!! Haha!

Thanks Lahni! I'll probably read The Invisible Man in April, so I'm choosing a different book this time... I think I'll go for Son because, as you say, finishing a series is always good!

Thanks, Lahni. I will check on availability and decide tomorrow.

ETA: I am going to try for The Little Paris Bookshop. My library seems to have a copy available.

Hey, no problem for being a bit late :-)

I think I will go with Alias Grace, which may or may not be a group read in another group for May (not sure yet). However, I've meant to read it for a while.

I am anxious to see what you think of it, Coralie. You'll have to let me know.

message 37: by Lahni (new)

Lahni | 660 comments I am too Coralie! Be sure to let us know!

message 38: by Coralie (new)

Coralie | 1658 comments I have finished Major Pettigrew's Last Stand which I enjoyed except for the negative light in which it portrayed knitting. It had a nice gentle humour which I liked.

After having been sent back to watch TV, I have landed on this property again and would like another three books from my shelf, please.

message 39: by Lahni (new)

Lahni | 660 comments Coralie, that is funny! I don't remember anything about knitting in that book, negative or not! But it has been several years since I read it.

Welcome back to my property. Here are 3 more books for you!

The Tiger's Wife
The Shadowed Sun
The Hungry Tide
