Clover (bibliophilic-fae) | 22 comments ok so this was given to me probably seven or eight years ago and I am trying to find it because I think I lost it in a move. It's about a girl and she lives somewhere where she can see this tree (maybe oak?) from her bedroom, and the tree is on a hill. At some point there's a thunderstorm, I don't know if that's important. So one day she goes to the tree and finds these little creature on the ground under it, and then she's chased by Rolling Stones ( it talk about them not having moss and stuff?) and then at some point she falls into the tree, like through it, and ends up in another world, the inside of the tree. It's really huge, and I remember that at one point she went to a little town and there were these creatures which rolled up into little balls and sold stuff from their coats. She also goes to an underwater world where she sees something important through a portal, and a place with these plants or a mother of some kind and she gives the girl her babies to take care of. It's an amazing book, it's kind of like a novel in picture book form. It's fairly long but it's about as big as a picture book and has full page illustrations. I think that the cover is also like a girl looking up at a tree on a hill. Please help me find this, it's really important to me!

Emily (dustsmokeandglitter) This isn't it but May Bird and the Ever After (May Bird, #1) by Jodi Lynn Anderson sounds very similar! She falls into a pond and ends up in another world. Chapter book, middle school age.
