Julesy | 409 comments Must be a weekend to finish the serial challenge because I finished my 2nd book this morning. :-)

I am glad and sad that I complete the Lucy Stone series. I'm glad because I have missed reading these books and am happy to be caught up. I am also sad because I am caught up and don't have another book in this series to read!! But I'm happy because the next book will be released in autumn 2016. LOL

Kristie (kristiesbooknook) | 49 comments I completed the January challenge. I read both The Diva Wraps It Up and The Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss. Both were very good and I am happy to be caught up with this series!

Connie N. | 499 comments Good for you, Kristie. Looks like I should read more in that series.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 122 comments I got my copy of Sandra Balzo's Murder on the Orient Espresso (Maggy Thorsen Mystery #8) by Sandra Balzo from Better world Books today (thank you to whomever it was who suggested them), and have finally finished my January Serial Reader's Challenge! It was an excellent book, and only took me about 2 1/2 hours to read it. I'll give it 4.5 to 5 stars...

You're welcome. Glad you were able to find the book and enjoyed reading it.

Connie N. | 499 comments I've just rediscovered Aunt Dimity, Karen, and have enjoyed what I've read. I see you're way ahead of me. But it sounds like the series is still good?

Hope you got your power back OK.

Marisa (moretta) | 421 comments Karen, sorry about the weather problems at your zone, and glad you've liked the books, I like this series too.

Linda C (libladynylindac) I finished my first book for January, #2 in the Hemlock Falls mystery series, A Dash of Death (Hemlock Falls Mysteries, #2) by Claudia Bishop . Hemlock Falls is a fictitious town based I think on Trumansburg near Taughannock Falls, near me, so I'm loving the local flavor.

Connie N. | 499 comments I finally finished up my books for January's challenge:

Death in Four Courses by Lucy Burdette - 1/19/16 ♥♥♥♥
Topped Chef by Lucy Burdette - 2/9/16 ♥♥♥♥

Death in Four Courses (Key West Food Critic Mystery, #2) by Lucy Burdette Topped Chef (Key West Food Critic Mystery #3) by Lucy Burdette

Both were good mysteries, with a very appealing and entertaining main character. Thanks for the picks, Kristie!

Connie N. | 499 comments Thanks. For some reason, I've been falling behind on this challenge. Now I'd better hurry up and get going on my February challenge books. And before we know it, it'll be time to pick for March!

message 116: by Linda C (new)

Linda C (libladynylindac) Finished my second book for January, A Pinch of Poison (Hemlock Falls Mysteries, #3) by Claudia Bishop A Pinch of Poison. This was the best of the series so far. Looking forward to more in this series.

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments Finally finished my second January book, The Lemon Meringue Pie Murder, by Joanne Fluke. Quite a good cozy mystery with a good story line and likeable characters. Quite an enjoyable series.
Too many visitors, but I'm also finishing several other books I've started.

message 118: by Robert (new)

Robert (rdowens) Well, I have adopted the Miss Marple books as my serial challenge each month. I ran into some trouble with the second book as I couldn't find it. So, I purchased the anthology of short stories and read the 13 of them that make up the second book.

As I checked the Agatha Christie site, there is a preferred chronology of reading the books so I am juggling that list. Published dates do not correspond with written dates.

Anyhow, here at the end of March, I have now finished the first six Miss Marple books. It's been a fun ride. I plan to continue at least two a month until the series is completed.

This is fun!

Connie N. | 499 comments I always find it an adjustment to read those books, since I have to wrap my mind about the lack of technology of the time. What, no cell phones? Or even phone numbers? Or even private lines?
