Hi everyone,I just want to update my reading log for this challenge, instead of reading Mothers by Gloria Goldreich. I'm reading The Lost Daughter by Lucy Ferriss, and I just got from the library Devil May Care by Elizabeth Peters, if I have the time.
I'll be doing three: FINISHED 3/3 COLOUR: Turquoise: The Forbidden Queen by Anne O'Brien .Finished 5/20. ★★★☆
ITEM: Taurus the bull: Immortal Champion (Immortal Brotherhood, #3) by Lisa Hendrix . Finished 5/2.★★★★★
DAY: May Theme: International No Diet Day. Sunrise Point (Virgin River, #19) by Robyn Carr . Apples on the cover - the original temptation! Finished 5/13. ★★★☆.
Saxonjus wrote: "Lauren Ive read quite a few Amish books & loved them! Still waiting for the Hallowed Ones to be available in the Library!"I read the first one and it was amazing!! I read it in my Young Adult Literature class for an assignment. I have yet to see the first or second in a library and I am getting tired of waiting for the second so i am considering buying it for myself lol :)
3/3: Flowers and Mothers:
I am not going to lie this book really connected with me on a personal level. 1st my grandmothers favorite flower was Gardenias. 2nd I feel like this book transcends age groups and other groupings. I am not a mother but it touched my "mother's heart" and made me sad for the day I will be experiencing things with my teenage daughter on a motherly level, it touched me from the teenage daughters view point because it makes me remember those struggles and being embarrassed by your mother, etc. and then to hear about the Grand Lady (and her love for Gardenias) just reminded me so much of my southern belle grandmother. I definitely recommend!!
