Hi Lisa!

To me, it was pretty bad. I was told that the next book is much better and that the author fixed a lot of issues. I left a review and hid the spoilers. There were a lot of things I couldn't quite wrap my head around. Insta-love and weak characters were my biggest issue.

One of the other reviewers told me she likes to think this book doesn't exist. LOL! Apparently, the rest of the series she gave 4 or 5 stars. Writers grow over time, so who knows. I wish I had started with book 2 myself!

OK, I'm half way through this book and I don't like it at all Mother, is a confusing book, and so far really depressing... I don't know if I want to finished it. :/ ???

Hey Michelle!

If you're looking for a read to fill the Mother's day category, you might try Lily Graison's "A Willow Creek Christmas". Yes, it's Christmas, but it is about a single mother of 3 who is taken in by a former confederate soldier. It is sooo good. Its part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone.
