Destiny (destinyfsingh) | 59 comments Updated Message 1213: 5/20.

A Book that Takes Place on an Island -- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

3 stars. I spent most of this book just trying to get through it. It was pretty slow moving and boring. Only the last 60-80 pages caught my attention. I won't be reading the rest of this series unless the movie strikes something in me.

message 1455: by Chloé (new)

Chloé (fullmetalclo) | 573 comments Je serai un territoire fier et tu y déposera tes meubles is an interesting essay about how men suffer from gender roles and how both men and women would benefit from feminism if it was more inclusive of men. Everything I red was for school. I got to read a lot for Frech lit and French redaction. I'll be reading more stuff in English during the summer because I feel like I had my fill of French lit.

I'm not done with this challenge however. I realized I put the same book twice on the list. That's what happens when you wait too long between updates.
